Jean-Sylvain Babin
Jean-Sylvain Claude Babin (born 14 October 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Spanish club AD Alcorcón. He all but spent his professional career in Spain, appearing for Granada and Sporting de Gijón in La Liga and Alcorcón and Sporting in the Segunda División. Born in metropolitan France, Babin represented the Martinique national team at international level. Club career France Born in Corbeil-Essonnes, Essonne, Babin graduated from LB Châteauroux's youth academy, and made his senior debut with their B team. He started playing as a professional in the 2003–04 season, appearing with the main squad in Ligue 2. Babin was loaned to FC Martigues on 30 August 2007. 2012 Segunda División Play-offs
The 2012 Segunda División play-offs took place in June 2012. The Segunda División promotion phase (known as ''Promoción de ascenso'') was the second phase of 2011–12 Segunda División and was to determine the third team which promoted to 2012–13 La Liga. Teams placed between 3rd and 6th position (excluding reserve teams) took part in the promotion play-offs. Regulations were similar that previous season: fifth placed faced against the fourth, while the sixth positioned team faced against the third. In case of a tied eliminatory there were extra time, once finished it, this season introduced that there wouldn't be penalty shoot-out and the winner would be the best positioned team. The first leg of the semi-finals was played on 6 June with the best positioned team playing at home the second leg was played on 10 June. The 2011–12 Segunda División season (known as the Liga Adelante for sponsorship reasons) was the 81st since its establishment. The first matches of the season were played on 26 August 2011 after the Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) called a strike, the regular league ended on 3 June 2012, while the entire season ended on 16 June 2012 with the promotion play-off finals. The first goal of the season was scored by Xabier Etxeita, who scored a ninth-minute goal for Elche against Girona in the early kick-off. The first red card of the season was given to Richy from Girona in their opening game against Elche. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
