Jean-Pierre Savelli
Peter and Sloane was a 1980s French musical group. This duet was composed of Jean-Pierre Savelli (Peter) and Chantal Richard (Merry Sloane). Their greatest hit was the song, "Besoin de rien, envie de toi", which was number 1 for nine weeks in 1984 in France. Biography Jean-Pierre Savelli sang the opening titles to several French versions of Japanese TV series, such as ''X-Or'' ( Space Cop Gabin) and ''Albator, le Corsaire de l'Espace'', the French version of the anime classic Captain Harlock. Chantal Richard was formerly Savalli's vocalist. She was also one of the women singers of the musical group of popular festive music La Bande à Basile (Basile's band). She also composed music for the French singers Carlos (La leçon de Square dance) and C.Jérôme (P'tit bonhomme), but also for the musical group of children Mini-Star the big hit of the spring and summer 1984 in France "Danse autour de la Terre" (Dance all over the world). Space Cop Gabin
is a Japanese Tokusatsu series produced by Toei Company that aired on TV Asahi from March 5, 1982, to February 25, 1983. The series launched the ''Metal Hero'' franchise and was the first installment in the ''Space Sheriff'' series. For distribution purposes, Toei refers to this television series as ''Space Cop Gabin''. The hero's name is a tribute to French actor Jean Gabin. Plot Earth is invaded by the criminal organization known as Makuu, led by Don Horror, who had first destroyed a space colony near Earth. Don Horror wants to dominate the whole universe, and the Earth represents an obstacle that he has to overcome by turning it into a domain for all evil. Captain Harlock (manga)
, also titled Captain Harlock, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Leiji Matsumoto. It was serialized in Akita Shoten's ''Play Comic'' from January 1977 to June 1979, with the chapters collected into five volumes. The series follows the titular Captain, an outcast who has turned into a space pirate to rebel against Earth's government and humanity's general apathy. ''Space Pirate Captain Harlock'' was adapted into an anime television series in 1978 directed by Rintaro and produced by Toei Animation. An animated film adaptation of the same name was released in 2013.
