Jean-Marie Aerts
Jean-Marie Aerts (Zeebrugge (Bruges), 25 May 1951) is a Belgian guitarist and producer, best known as the guitar player for TC Matic. Aerts was a session musician who had worked with Kaz Lux, Raymond van het Groenewoud, and Plastic Bertrand when he joined Arno Hintjens in TC Matic in 1980, replacing Paul Decoutere. He also produced the band's first three albums; during his tenure with the band he produced other artists' albums as well, including Luc van Acker's ''KAZ'' (1982) and Arbeid Adelt!'s 'Jonge Helden'' (1983). After TC Matic broke up he continued as a producer, working with artists including DJ DNA, Jo Lemaire, and the Urban Dance Squad Urban Dance Squad was a Dutch rap rock band formed after what was originally intended as a one-time jam-session at a festival in Utrecht on December 20, 1986. Zeebrugge
Zeebrugge (, from: ''Brugge aan zee'' meaning "Bruges at Sea", french: Zeebruges) is a village on the coast of Belgium and a subdivision of Bruges, for which it is the modern port. Zeebrugge serves as both the international port of Bruges-Zeebrugge and a seafront resort with hotels, cafés, a marina and a beach. Location Zeebrugge is located on the coast of the North Sea. DJ DNA
Arjen de Vreede (born 26 April 1962 in Utrecht, The Netherlands), known by his stage name DJ DNA, is a Dutch DJ and producer. At age seventeen, he started as a DJ, and became a pioneer in the Dutch music scene playing hip hop, house, acid house and techno in renowned Dutch clubs such as the Roxy and the Vrije Vloer. He also co-founded the band Urban Dance Squad. After leaving the Urban Dance Squad he was in various bands like JMX and Stuurbaard Bakkebaard. He made remixes for a.o. Junkie XL (''Action Radius'') and De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig (''De Stofzuiger''). His first solo album was released 21 September 2012 and features Kurtis Blow. ''Mental Floss for the Globe'' is the debut album by Dutch rap rock band Urban Dance Squad. Released in 1989 (in the US, 1990) and produced by Belgian guitarist Jean-Marie Aerts, the album features a crossover of several music genres, such as rock, hip hop, and funk. It spawned the hit single " Deeper Shade of Soul," which gained the band international recognition, including in the United States, where they toured with Living Colour. The album got to #54 on the ''Billboard'' 200 album chart. "Deeper Shade of Soul" reached #21 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and two other singles were taken from the album, "No Kid" and "Fast Lane". The album won an Edison Award in the Netherlands, and in 2008 was named the best Dutch pop album of all time by Dutch music magazine ''OOR''. Urban Dance Squad was a Dutch rap rock band formed after what was originally intended as a one-time jam-session at a festival in Utrecht on December 20, 1986. The band consisted of a guitarist, bassist, drummer, rapper, and DJ. Urban Dance Squad was one of the most successful Dutch bands of the nineties, releasing five studio albums. Jo Lemaire
Jo Lemaire (born 5 January 1956) is a Belgian singer and songwriter born in Gembloux, Namur. Beyond her native country, she is also popular in France, Switzerland, Canada, and the Netherlands. Career Jo Lemaire debuted musically in the late 1970s with her musical group, "Jo Lemaire + Flouze". The group saw true success with the release of their album '' Pigmy World'' in 1981. That album, containing a moody synthpop adaptation of Serge Gainsbourg's "Je suis venue te dire que je m'en vais", propelled the singer into stardom all over Europe and Canada.
