Javi Poves
Javier "Javi" Poves Gómez (born 28 September 1986) is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He quit as a professional after one substitute appearance in La Liga for Sporting de Gijón, citing reasons of conscience. In 2019 he became president of Móstoles, renaming the club Flat Earth FC and endorsing the idea of a flat Earth. Playing career Born in Madrid, Poves played youth football with hometown clubs Atlético Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, going on to make his senior debut in amateur football also in the community, with Rayo Vallecano B, Las Rozas CF and CDA Navalcarnero. In 2008 he joined Sporting de Gijón, being assigned to the reserves in the Segunda División B. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''. The flat-Earth model is an archaic and scientifically disproven conception of Earth's shape as a plane or disk. 2019–20 Tercera División
The 2019–20 Tercera División is the fourth tier of Spanish football. It began in August 2019 and was supposed to end in late June 2020 with the promotion play-off finals. On 11 March 2020, the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the leagues, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. David Barral Torres (born 10 May 1983) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Internacional de Madrid. He achieved La Liga totals of 221 games and 46 goals over eight seasons, with Sporting de Gijón, Levante and Granada. He added 136 matches and 30 goals in the Segunda División, and also played professionally in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Cyprus and Japan. 2010–11 La Liga
The 2010–11 La Liga season (known as the ''Liga BBVA'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 80th since its establishment. The campaign began on 28 August 2010 and ended on 21 May 2011. A total of 20 teams contested the league, 17 of which already contested in the 2009–10 season and three of which were promoted from the Segunda División.
