Jaume Collet-Serra
Jaume Collet-Serra (; born 23 March 1974) is a Spanish-American film director and producer. He directed the horror films '' House of Wax'' (2005), ''Orphan'' (2009), and '' The Shallows'' (2016), as well as the Liam Neeson-led thriller films ''Unknown'' (2011), '' Non-Stop'' (2014), '' Run All Night'' (2015), and '' The Commuter'' (2018). Collet-Serra also directed the Dwayne Johnson-starrers ''Jungle Cruise'' (2021), based on the eponymous theme park attraction from Disney, and ''Black Adam'' (2022), based on the comic book character of the same name from DC. Early life Collet-Serra was born in Sant Iscle de Vallalta, Catalonia, Spain. At the age of 18, he moved to Los Angeles, California and attended Columbia College Hollywood, working as an editor on the side. Black Adam, real name Teth/Theo-Adam, is an antihero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. He was created by Otto Binder and C. C. Beck, and first appeared in the debut issue of Fawcett Comics' '' The Marvel Family'' comic book in December 1945. Since DC Comics licensed and acquired Fawcett's characters in the 1970s, Black Adam has endured as one of the archenemies of the superhero Captain Marvel / Shazam and the Marvel Family (a.k.a. ''House of Wax'' is a 1953 American period mystery-horror film directed by Andre DeToth. A remake by Warner Bros. of their 1933 film ''Mystery of the Wax Museum'', it stars Vincent Price as a disfigured sculptor who repopulates his destroyed wax museum by murdering people and using their wax-coated remains as displays. Joel Silver (born July 14, 1952) is an American film producer. Life and career Silver was born and raised in South Orange, New Jersey, the son of a writer and a public relations executive.
