Jassa Singh Ahluwalia (born 12 September 1990) is a British actor, director and radio presenter. He acted in the BBC television series ''Some Girls'', the film ''The Whale'' and presented the Disney Junior TV show ''Art Attack''. Early life Ahluwalia was born in Coventry, England. He is of British and Indian descent, and speaks fluent Punjabi. His grandfather was the architect James A Roberts. BBC Three
BBC Three is a British free-to-air public broadcast television channel owned and operated by the BBC. It was first launched on 9 February 2003 with programmes targeting 16 to 34-year-olds, covering all genres including animation, comedy, current affairs, and drama series. Sebastian Solberg
Sebastian Solberg (born 27 March 1991) is a multi-award winning filmmaker and commercials director with ties to New Zealand and England. He first started making films aged 9 when he was inspired by the Bond movies. Early life Solberg was born in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England. His father is Norwegian and his mother is English. At the age of two his parents moved to New Zealand where he developed his love for the outdoors. Solberg graduated from Saint Kentigern College in 2009 where he was a head prefect and had lead roles in a number of school productions. He first began making films when he was inspired by the adventures of James Bond and Alex Rider. Solberg won his first film-making award aged fourteen. While at college Solberg made a film based on the children's story The Steadfast Tin Soldier written by the Scandinavian author Hans Christian Andersen. Owen Coffin
Owen Coffin (August 24, 1802 – February 2, 1821) was a sailor aboard the Nantucket whaler ''Essex'' when it set sail for the Pacific Ocean on a sperm whale-hunting expedition in August 1819, under the command of his cousin, George Pollard, Jr. In November 1820, a whale rammed and breached the hull of ''Essex'' in mid-Pacific, causing ''Essex'' to sink. The crew escaped in small whaleboats, with sufficient supplies for two months, but were not rescued within that time. During January 1821, the near-starved survivors began to eat the bodies of those who had died. When even this resource ran out, the four men remaining in Pollard's boat agreed to draw straws to decide which of them should be killed, lest all four die of starvation. Essex (1799 Whaleship)
''Essex'' was an American whaling ship from Nantucket, Massachusetts, which was launched in 1799. In 1820, while at sea in the southern Pacific Ocean under the command of Captain George Pollard Jr., the ship was attacked and sunk by a sperm whale. Thousands of miles from the coast of South America with little food and water, the 20-man crew was forced to make for land in the ship's surviving whaleboats. The men suffered severe dehydration, starvation, and exposure on the open ocean, and the survivors eventually resorted to eating the bodies of the crewmen who had died. When that proved insufficient, members of the crew drew lots to determine whom they would sacrifice so that the others could live. Seven crew members were cannibalized before the last of the eight survivors were rescued, more than three months after the sinking of the ''Essex''.
