Jason Rarick
Jason Rarick ( ; born October 21, 1969) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Minnesota Senate. He represents District 11 in east-central Minnesota. He was a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019, representing District 11B. Early life, education, and career Rarick was born and raised in Pine City, Minnesota. He graduated from Pine City High School in 1988. In 1990, he graduated from Dunwoody College of Technology with an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree after completing the electrical program. In 1992, Rarick was accepted into the St. Paul electrical union, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 110. In his union he served on 3 different committees, including the apprenticeship committee for over four years. He completed his apprenticeship in 1996 and became a Master Electrician in 1997. Tony Lourey (born August 15, 1967) is an American politician. He is a former Minnesota commissioner of human services and former Democratic–Farmer–Labor (DFL) member of the Minnesota Senate, representing District 11. Beroun is an unincorporated community in Mission Creek Township, Pine County, Minnesota, United States. Interstate 35 and Pine County Roads 14 and 61 are three of the main routes in the community. I-35 runs north–south, and County Road 14 (Beroun Crossing Road) runs east–west. Beroun is between Hinckley and Pine City. 2019 Minnesota Senate District 11 Special Election
A special election was held in the U.S. state of Minnesota on February 5, 2019, to elect a new senator for District 11 in the Minnesota Senate, caused by the resignation of Democratic–Farmer–Labor (DFL) Senator Tony Lourey effective on January 3, 2019, to be appointed as commissioner of human services in Governor Tim Walz's cabinet. A primary election was held on January 22, 2019, to nominate a DFL candidate. Jason Rarick, the Republican nominee, won the special election. Rarick's win caused a special election for the seat he held in the Minnesota House of Representatives. Pine City High School
Pine City High School is a six-year public high school located in Pine City, Minnesota, United States. Pine City is a fourth-tier suburb (exurb) of Minneapolis. The school was founded in 1910 and has a current enrollment of approximately 800 students, making it the largest school in Pine County. The nickname for the school's athletic teams is the Dragons.
