Jason R. Brown
Jason R. Brown (born July 22, 1970) is a Republican and small business owner who currently serves as deputy majority whip of the Missouri House of Representatives. He resides with his wife, Rachelle, and their two children, Alayna and Caleb, in Platte City, Missouri. He received a B.S. degree in government from Northwest Missouri State University in 1993, and a master's degree in Public Administration in Drake University in 1994. He served in the military, and currently serves in the Army reserves. From 1998 to 2001, he worked as the public works director of Platte City. The Republican Party, also referred to as the GOP ("Grand Old Party"), is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States. Missouri House Of Representatives
The Missouri House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the Missouri General Assembly. It has 163 members, representing districts with an average size of 37,000 residents. House members are elected for two-year terms during general elections held in even-numbered years. Missouri's house is the fourth largest in the United States even as the state ranks 18th in population. The only states with a larger lower house in the United States are New Hampshire (400), Pennsylvania (203) and Georgia (180). Republicans have controlled the State House since 2003. Platte City, Missouri
Platte City is a city in and the county seat of Platte County, Missouri within the United States. The population was 4,691 at the 2010 census. The city is part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. History Platte City was founded by Zadock "Zed" Martin and was incorporated as a city in September 1843. On December 16, 1861, Colonel W. James Morgan's Union Squad razed Platte City, including the courthouse. The Platte County Fair held annually just outside Platte City began in 1863 and is the oldest continuously operating fair west of the Mississippi River. On April 3, 1882, Jesse James planned a robbery of the Platte City bank, but it was never carried out due to his assassination by Robert Ford on the morning of the raid. Northwest Missouri State University
Northwest Missouri State University is a public university in Maryville, Missouri. It has an enrollment of about 8,505 students. Founded in 1905 as a teachers college, its campus is based on the design for Forest Park at the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair and is the official Missouri State Arboretum. The points of the compass are a set of horizontal, radially arrayed compass directions (or azimuths) used in navigation and cartography.
