Jason Kajiura
Jason Kajiura is a Canadian-born Physiologist, and former Ontario 800m track Indoor Champion, and Canadian 800m track Outdoor Champion. He currently trains with the Hamilton Olympic Club (HOC). Kajiura was the recipient of the City of Hamilton Sports Council All Sport Award (1999), City of Hamilton Civic Award (1996), Hamilton Olympic Club Outstanding Contribution Award (2003), Ontario Heart Foundation Science Scholarship, and several University entrance scholarships. In addition to his athletic and academic accomplishments, Kajiura was also a volunteer National Level track coach with the Hamilton Olympic Club; producing City, GHAC, SOSSA, OFSAA, Ontario, and Canadian champions. Kajiura was a member of the OTFA, HOC Board of Directors, founder of the "HOC Track Masochists", and the designer of the current HOC logo. Physiologist
Physiology (; ) is the scientific study of functions and mechanisms in a living system. As a sub-discipline of biology, physiology focuses on how organisms, organ systems, individual organs, cells, and biomolecules carry out the chemical and physical functions in a living system. Hamilton Olympic Club
The Hamilton Olympic Club (HOC) is the oldest track and field organization in Canada. It was established in 1926 by a group of local businessmen. Many HOC athletes have competed at the provincial, national and Olympic level, including Percy Williams, Don McFarlane, Johnny Miles and Ray Lewis. The Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) is an organization of student-athletes, teacher-coaches, student-coaches, teachers, principals, and sport administrators in Ontario, Canada. OFSAA is the second largest high school athletic association in North America, second only to the California Interscholastic Federation. Approximately 270,000 students and 16,000 teacher-coaches participate in school sport in Ontario. Every individual who is involved in school sport is a member of OFSAA. The group's primary responsibility is to work with volunteer teacher-coaches to provide provincial championships for Ontario's student-athletes, and also deal with issues that affect students, coaches, schools and communities, such as drug-free sport, equity, fair play, and safe schools.
