Jason Hoffman
Jason Hoffman (born 28 January 1989) is an Australian association football player who plays as a right back for the Newcastle Jets in the A-League.Jason is the most capped player in Newcastle Jets History. Jason’s nicknames include “the Hoff” and 'The Goat". Club career Hoffman was developed through NSWIS and Hamilton Olympic Warriors FC. He started as trainee at the Newcastle Jets and became a part of the first team squad. On 2 September 2007 he made his A-League debut for the Jets as a substitute in Round 2 of the 2007–08 season, and scored his first goal for the club in Matchday 6 of the Asian Champions League against Ulsan Hyundai. F3 Derby
The F3 Derby is an association football rivalry between Central Coast Mariners and Newcastle Jets. It is the longest standing derby in the A-League Men. The rivalry originated due to the team's relative geographical proximity, with the Mariners located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, the Jets in Newcastle, immediately to the north. The two clubs were also the only two clubs from outside capital cities in the inaugural A-League seasons, which contributed to the rivalry. The teams first met in the Australian qualifying tournament for the 2005 OFC Club Championship, in what was the Mariners' first ever competitive game (the Jets having formed five years prior). Ernest Merrick OAM (born 15 January 1953) is a Scottish-Australian coach, who last managed A-League soccer club Newcastle Jets. He was released on 6 January 2020. Ivan Vujica (; born 20 April 1997) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Macarthur. He has represented Croatia at youth level, being capped once for their under-19 side, and has represented Australia at youth level, being capped for their under-23 side. The 2018 A-League Grand Final was the thirteenth A-League Grand Final, played on 5 May 2018. The match took place at McDonald Jones Stadium, with Newcastle Jets hosting Melbourne Victory, the first A-League grand final held outside a metropolitan city. Roy Simon O'Donovan (born 10 August 1985) is an Irish-Australian professional footballer who played as a striker for National Premier Leagues NSW side the Sydney Olympic FC.
