Jaroslav Falta
Jaroslav Falta (22 March 1951 – 27 March 2022) was a Czech professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1971 to 1982. As a member of the CZ factory racing team, Falta was one of the top motocross racers of the early 1970s in the F.I.M. 250cc Motocross World Championship. __TOC__ Motorcycle racing career Falta was born in Rumburk in Czechoslovakia (today in the Czech Republic) near the East Germany border. He grew up in the nearby Jiříkov. Falta very nearly claimed the 1974 250cc world championship, however it was Soviet rider, Guennady Moisseev, who would ultimately secure the crown in a controversy-filled final race of the season. The 1974 250cc world championship was a season-long battle between KTM's Moisseev and CZ's Falta. Håkan Andersson (motorcyclist)
Håkan Andersson (born June 29, 1945) is a Swedish former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1966 to 1979. Andersson won the F.I.M. 250cc Motocross World Championship in 1973. Born in Uddevalla, Sweden, Andersson began racing in the motocross world championships for the Husqvarna factory, finishing second behind Suzuki's Joël Robert in the 1971 250cc motocross world championship. For the 1972 season, Andersson was hired by the Yamaha to help develop their new motorcycle with its innovative rear suspension using a single shock absorber called a monoshock. He again came in second place to Robert. Loket
Loket (; german: Elbogen) is a town of in Sokolov District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,100 inhabitants. The town centre itself features Loket Castle, a 12th-century Gothic castle. The town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as urban monument reservation. Administrative parts Villages of Dvory, Nadlesí and Údolí are administrative parts of Loket. Etymology Both Loket and Elbogen mean "elbow" in Czech and German, respectively. The town got its name due to the town centre being surrounded on three sides by the Ohře River, and the shape the river takes is similar to that of an elbow. Roger De Coster (born 28 August 1944) is a Belgian former professional motocross racer and current Motorsport Director of KTM and Husqvarna North America. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1966 to 1980, most prominently as a member of the Suzuki factory racing team where he won five FIM 500cc Motocross World Championships. De Coster scored a record 36 500cc Grand Prix victories during his racing career, making his name is almost synonymous with the sport of motocross during the 1970s. His stature in the sport of motocross is such that, he is often simply referred to as "The Man." In 1973, De Coster was named the recipient of the Belgian National Sports Merit Award. Gaston Rahier (1 February 1947 – 8 February 2005) was a Belgian professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1967 to 1979, most prominently as a member of the Suzuki factory racing team where he won three consecutive FIM 125cc Motocross World Championships. In 1977, Rahier was named the recipient of the Belgian National Sports Merit Award. After his motocross career, he became a successful Rally Raid competitor.
