Jarno Parikka (born 21 July 1986) is a retired Finnish footballer who played as a striker. Parikka was known as a striker who possessed a good footballing brain for bringing his teammates in the game while having an undeniable eye for the goal. His preferred position in the pitch is playing with another striker and lying just behind him. He has been criticized for being somewhat lightweight for a striker. Josef Jarno
Josef Jarno (born 24 August 1866 in Pest, died 11 January 1932 in Vienna) was an Austrian actor and theatre director. He was the older brother of opera composer Georg Jarno. Life Jarno made his debut in the ''Lehártheater'' in Bad Ischl, Upper Austria. He visited the place every summer for the following 14 years. In 1897 a summer theatre was initiated in Bad Aussee, with Jarno as its first director. Two years later he gave up the job and moved to Vienna to take over as the leader of the Theater in der Josefstadt. In Vienna, Jarno could carry out his ideas about modern drama. He brought plays by Henrik Ibsen, August Strindberg, Arthur Schnitzler and George Bernard Shaw onto the stage. Jarno worked in Vienna until 1923. Georg Jarno (3 June 1868, in Buda – 25 May 1920, in Breslau) was a Hungarian composer, mainly of operettas. Biography After he finished his studies in Budapest, he worked as Theaterkapellmeister in Bremen, Gera, Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Metz, Liegnitz, Chemnitz and Magdeburg, and also as opera director in Bad Kissingen, before settling in Vienna as a freelance composer. Before 1903, Jarno's name was György Cohner. He is buried in the New Jewish Cemetery in Wrocław, Poland. Career Jarno's greatest successes were '' Die Försterchristl'' (1907) and ''Das Musikantenmädel'' (1910). Jarno Sarkula (4 August 1973 – 12 July 2020) was a Finnish musician and one-time TV-personality. Sarkula was born in Vantaa. As a musician, he first became known with the band Höyry-kone ("Steam-Engine"). Sarkula wrote music for the band and played the bass and woodwinds. The music of the band took influences from e.g. the opera. In 1997, Sarkula founded the band Alamaailman Vasarat together with Teemu Hänninen. After developing the band's music for a couple of years, they began to play in public. The band took its influences from jazz, classical music, rock and klezmer. Jarno Salomaa, also credited as J.S,, is a Finnish musician. He formed the funeral doom metal group Shape of Despair in 1995 under the name Raven (not to be confused with the NWOBHM band, Raven). Salomaa's first role was guitars and synth in Raven's ''Alone in the Mist'', the first demo they made, although this demo was not released to the public. Jarno Karl Keimo Saarinen (11 December 1945 – 20 May 1973) was a Finnish professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. In the early 1970s, he was considered one of the most promising and talented motorcycle racers of his era until he was killed during the 1973 Nations Grand Prix in Italy. Saarinen's death led to increased demands for better safety conditions for motorcycle racers competing in the world championships.
