Jarle Alex Aambø (born 26 March 1960) is a Norwegian sports official. In 2013 NRK published the claim by Adresseavisen's sport commentator (Kjetil Kroksæter) that Aambø had been forced to resign as leader of Olympiatoppen. Since 2004 he is the leader of Olympiatoppen. Jarle Pedersen
Jarle Pedersen (born 15 June 1955) is a retired Norwegian speed skater and the retired coach of the Norwegian speed skating team. He is from Kåfjord in Alta, Finnmark, but resides in Bjørnafjorden outside Bergen. Pedersen competed in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid and finished 6th on the 500 m. On 25 November 2009 he became the head coach of the Norwegian Speed skating team following Peter Mueller. Johann Olav Koss became his assistant. He has been a speed skating coach in the local team Fana IL. In Fana he was the coach for his son Sverre Lunde Pedersen. They are being reunited on the national team since the son joined the team before the 2009/2010 winter season. Sjur Jarle Hauge (born 18 December 1971) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He started his career in SK Haugar; and later went to Bryne. Jarle Wee (born 2 February 1972) was a Norwegian football striker. In his early career he played for SK Haugar. The team played in the second highest league in Norway, but performed badly in the 1992 season, conceding 97 goals. When the club FK Haugesund was formed through a merger, Wee joined that team. In the 1994 league opener he scored 4 goals against Os TF. When the club won promotion to the Norwegian Premier League after the 1996 season, Wee was the club's all-time top goalscorer. Jarle Vespestad (born 16 April 1966) is a Norwegian jazz musician (percussion), the younger brother of jazz musician Liz Tove Vespestad, and a central member of Tord Gustavsen's projects. Career Vespestad was born in Kirkenes and picked up drumming in the local marching band, but drumming first became serious after finishing high school, where he found himself heading into a future as a substitute teacher at his local high-school. He made up his mind and graduated from the Toneheim Folk High School (1988) and Jazz program at Trondheim Musikkonservatorium (1990). In Trondheim he became the driving force behind many successful bands to come out of Trondheim the following years, like Veslefrekk, "Trondheim Kunstorkester", Farmers Market (1991–) and the Maria Kannegaard trio (1993–). Jarle Simensen (born 23 March 1937, in Os, Hedmark) is a Norwegian historian. He took the cand.philol. degree at the University of Oslo in 1966, and worked as a research assistant at the same university, a research fellow at the Norwegian Research Council and Institute of Social Research and, briefly, associate professor (''førsteamanuensis'') at the University of Trondheim before taking the dr.philos. degree in Trondheim in 1976. He was then a professor there from 1980 to 2004. He returned to the University of Oslo in 1996 to hold the position of adjunct professor (''professor II''); he is currently professor emeritus there. Jarle Ofstad (1 April 1927 – 17 December 2014) was a Norwegian physician. He was born in Ålesund. He became a chief physician at Haukeland University Hospital in 1965, docent at the University of Bergen in 1966 and professor of internal medicine at the University of Bergen from 1973, retiring in 2007. From 1977 to 1987 he was a chief physician at Haukeland University Hospital. From 1983 to 1992 he was the board chairman of the Chr. Michelsen Institute. He was hired in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation in 1957, and went on to become a known personality in the early years of television.
