Jared Francisco Borgetti Echavarría (; born 14 August 1973) is a Mexican former professional Association football, footballer who currently works as a commentator for ESPN Deportes and ESPN Latin America, ESPN Mexico. As a player, Borgetti was known as a prolific goal scorer at both club and national level, and was renowned for his heading ability. With 46 goals, Borgetti is the second all-time leading goal scorer (behind Javier Hernández) of the Mexico national football team, Selección de fútbol de México. He is the Santos Laguna top goal scorer with 205 goals. He was popularly known by the nickname of ''El Zorro del Desierto'' ("The Desert Fox") in reference to his debut team, Atlas F.C., Atlas, and his birthplace. Culiacán
Culiacán, officially Culiacán Rosales, is a city in northwestern Mexico, the capital and largest city of both the Culiacán Municipality and the state of Sinaloa. ESPN Latin America
ESPN Latin America (on-air as ESPN) is the Latin American division of ESPN Inc., and broadcasts sports-related programming for the region in Spanish. It was launched on 31 March 1989. Its programming is adapted to the likes of viewers, who tend to prefer football and Hispanic baseball players to the more locally produced programs.
