The Cat Returns
is a 2002 Japanese animated fantasy film directed by Hiroyuki Morita, produced by Toshio Suzuki and Nozomu Takahashi, written by Reiko Yoshida, based on the manga ''The Cat Returns'' by Aoi Hiiragi, with music by Yuji Nomi, animated by Studio Ghibli for Tokuma Shoten, Nippon Television Network, Hakuhodo, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Mitsubishi and Toho and distributed by the latter company. It stars Chizuru Ikewaki, Yoshihiko Hakamada, Tetsu Watanabe, Yosuke Saito, Aki Maeda and Tetsurō Tamba. This is Hiroyuki Morita's first and only film as director for Studio Ghibli. Hidetoshi Nishijima (actor)
is a Japanese actor. He is widely regarded as one of Japan's leading actors, having appeared in a wide range of films from science fiction films such as ''Shin Ultraman'' (2022) to small-scale art films such as ''Dolls'' (2002). He gained international recognition for his critically acclaimed leading role in the 2021 film '' Drive My Car'', for which he received the Japan Academy Film Prize for Best Actor. Miho Kanno
is a Japanese actress and J-Pop singer. Her nickname is ''Kanchan'' (菅ちゃん). She was born in Sakado, Saitama, Japan. Career In 1992, Kanno made her debut as a member of a group called ''Sakurakko Club'' after passing the orientation for the TV variety show ''Sakurakko Kurabu''. Takeshi Kitano
is a Japanese comedian, television presenter, actor, filmmaker, and author. While he is known primarily as a comedian and TV host in his native Japan, he is better known abroad for his work as a filmmaker and actor as well as TV host. Dolls (2002 Film)
is a 2002 Japanese film written, edited and directed by Japanese director Takeshi Kitano. A highly stylized art film, ''Dolls'' is part of Kitano's non-crime film oeuvre, like 1991's ''A Scene at the Sea'', and unlike most of his other films, he does not act in it. The film has been praised for its cinematography (Katsumi Yanagishima) and features costumes by Yohji Yamamoto. Riki Takeuchi
is a Japanese actor best known for his roles in v-cinema yakuza movies. Takeuchi has starred in many yakuza films and action films, such as '' Dead or Alive'' by Takashi Miike. Takeuchi also starred in '' Battle Royale II: Requiem'', in which he played a fictionalized version of himself. Takeuchi had also a short stint at the end of the professional wrestling promotion HUSTLE in 2009, posing as a villainous character based on himself called "King RIKI".
