Jano Bergeron
Jeannine "Jano" Bergeron is a Quebec singer who was born in Chapais, Quebec in 1958. This singer, actress and entertainer is best known on the Quebec music scene with the commercial success of the song Recherché in 1986, as well as performing the French version of Run With Us (titled Viens Vers Nous) and other songs for the French version of ''The Raccoons''. She was a co-owner of a shop, called ''Flame'' on St. Laurent Boulevard, which specialized in makeup and tattooing, which is now closed. Singer After moving to Montreal she played the bar circuit for a few years. In 1982 she won a trophy for her performances on stage. Jano Bergeron was spotted by Pierre Dubord, an artistic director for CBS Records. She then recorded her first album Jano in 1985. She performed at the '' Spectrum de Montréal'' in July 1985. Chapais, Quebec
Chapais is a community in the Canadian province of Quebec, located on Route 113 near Chibougamau in the Jamésie region. It is surrounded by, but not a part of, the local municipality of Eeyou Istchee James Bay Regional Government. The community was first settled in 1929, when prospector Léo Springer discovered deposits of copper, silver and gold in the area, and was incorporated as a city in 1955. It was named for Thomas Chapais. History Opémisca Copper Mines operated the community's mine until 1991. More recently, with the closure of the mines the community's primary industry has been forestry, and the community opened the first cogeneration plant in Quebec to produce electricity from the sawmill's waste matter. "Run With Us" is the end theme song for the 1980s television series ''The Raccoons''. It was written by Kevin Gillis, Jon Stroll and Steve Lunt. The song was originally recorded by Steve Lunt for the first season in 1985 but was later covered by and is more associated with Lisa Lougheed and included on her first album ''Evergreen Nights'', as well as being heard at the end of every ''Raccoons'' episode from the second season until the series ended in 1991. The song featured in several episodes of the series. Lunt's version is set to be released in a remastered form from the original tapes alongside a remaster of Lougheed's cover as part of the show's 40th anniversary.
