Jankoji Rao Scindia I
Jankoji Rao Shinde was the third Maharaja of Gwalior State. He became Maharaja of Gwalior after death of his father, Jayappaji Rao Scindia. Biography He was younger son of Sardar Jayappaji Rao Scindia, Jayappaji Rao Shinde, and acceded to the position on the death of his father on 25 July 1755. As he was only 10 years of age at that time, a regency was established, led by his uncle Dattaji Rao Scindia, Dattaji Rao Shinde, Jayappa Rao's brother, until 10 January 1760. Jayappaji Rao Scindia
Jayappaji Rao Shinde (Sindhia, Shinde) (c. 1720 - 25 July 1755) also known as Jayappa Dadasahib, was a Maratha general. He ruled Gwalior State in northern India from 1745 to 1755, succeeding his father Ranoji Rao Scindia who had founded it. He was killed by two men named Khokar Kesar Khan and Shri Kan Singh ji, who were adherents of Maharaja Vijay Singh of Jodhpur before the walls of Nagaur in Rajasthan on 25 July 1755, after entanglement in the affairs of Jodhpur He was succeeded by his son Jankoji Rao Scindia, who was killed at the Third Battle of Panipat in 1761. Jayappa had four daughters who married in the knight families of Shinde, including one in Nimbalkar, two in Ghorpade and last one in the house of Savant - Bhonsle family. Ahmad Shah Abdali
Ahmad Shāh Durrānī ( ps, احمد شاه دراني; prs, احمد شاه درانی), also known as Ahmad Shāh Abdālī (), was the founder of the Durrani Empire and is regarded as the founder of the modern Afghanistan. In July 1747, Ahmad Shah was appointed as King of the Afghans by a ''loya jirga'' in Kandahar, where he set up his capital. Primarily with the support of the Pashtun tribes, Ahmad Shah pushed east towards the Mughal and Maratha Empires of India, west towards the disintegrating Afsharid Empire of Iran, and north towards the Khanate of Bukhara of Turkestan. Within a few years, he extended his control from Khorasan in the west to North India in the east, and from the Amu Darya in the north to the Arabian Sea in the south. Gashmeer Mahajani (born 8 June 1985) is an Indian film and television actor, dancer and play director. He is better known for his work in Marathi cinema. He is the son of veteran Marathi film actor Ravindra Mahajani. Gashmeer made his silver screen debut with P. Najib Ad-Dawlah
Najib ad-Dawlah ( ps, نجيب الدوله), also known as Najib Khan Yousafzai ( ps, نجيب خان), was a Rohilla Yousafzai Afghan who earlier served as a Mughal serviceman but later deserted the cause of the Mughals and joined Ahmed Shah Abdali in 1757 in his attack on Delhi. He was also a House chief of Rohilkhand, and in the 1740s founded the city of Najibabad in Bijnor district, India. He was instrumental in winning the Third Battle of Panipat. He began his career in 1743 as an immigrant from the village Swabi, District Swabi Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a soldier. Kadarji Rao Scindia was the fourth Maharaja of Gwalior State for a brief period. He became Maharaja of Gwalior after two years of death of Jankoji Rao Scindia in Third battle of Panipat in 1761. Shamsher Bahadur I (Krishna Rao)
Shamsher Bahadur I (1734 – 18 January 1761), was a ruler of the Maratha dominion of Banda in northern India. He was the son of Bajirao I and Mastani. Early life Krishna Rao was the son of Peshwa Baji Rao I and his second wife Mastani, daughter of Chhatrasal and his Persian Muslim wife, Ruhani Bai. Bajirao wanted him to be accepted as a Hindu Brahmin, but because of he was out of wedlock child , Brahmin priests refused to conduct the Hindu upanayana ceremony for him. His education and military training was conducted in line with other sons of the Peshwa family, even though many Maratha nobles and chiefs didn't recognize Mastani as a legitimate wife of the Peshwa.
