Janina Wirth (later surname: Weiß, born in 1966) is a former competitive figure skater for East Germany. She is the 1982 World Junior champion. Inge Wischnewski
Inge Wischnewski, née Kabisch, (2 March 1930 – 11 July 2010) was a German figure skater and figure skating coach. She was a four-time East German national champion. Career Inge Kabisch won the East German national title four times, always beating Jutta Müller. Her strength were spins. She was coached by Charlotte Giebelmann. In 1956, Manfred Ewald sent her and other skaters to study coaching at the DHfK Leipzig. She settled in East Berlin where she worked as a coach under her married name, Inge Wischnewski. Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. It was the first winter sport to be included in the Olympic Games, when contested at the 1908 Olympics in London. The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition. Blue Swords (german: Pokal der Blauen Schwerter) is an international figure skating competition organized by the Deutsche Eislauf-Union. It is usually held in Chemnitz, Saxony, Germany. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Champions of the event win the "Blue Swords Trophy". Richmond Trophy
The Richmond Trophy was an international figure skating competition for ladies' singles held annually from 1949 to 1980 at the Richmond Ice Rink in Twickenham, London. It was the only invitational international competition (as opposed to the ISU Championships) held on a regular basis in the post-war years. The competition was sponsored by the National Skating Association and was largely due to the activity of Arnold Gerschwiler, coach of many champions at the Richmond rink.
