Janet Mbugua
Janet Mbugua – Ndichu (born 11 January 1984) is a Kenyan media personality, anchor and actress. As a news anchor she is known to have served in KTN in her earlier year of her career. She worked for Citizen TV for several years, before announcing her retirement from the media industry. She was a leading anchor at Citizen prime time news, alongside Hussein Mohammed. She takes a new role at Kenya Red Cross Humanitarian Society. Janet is interested in film and arts. As an actress she played the lead in television series ''Rush''. Early life and education Janet was born on January 11, 1984, and raised in Mombasa, Kenya. She has a twin brother Timothy Mbugua. Janet went to Brookhouse High School and thereafter joined United States International University (USIU). After working for sometime, she joined the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Malaysia for her degree in Mass communication. NTV (Kenyan TV Channel)
NTV is a Kenyan general entertainment channel. The channel began operating on April 4, 2005, and is a revamp from the previous Nation TV station under the Nation Media Group arm that has been in existence since 1999. It is a popular TV Station in Kenya along with Citizen TV, Kenya Television Network, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation among other Kenyan broadcasting channels. Youtube In September 2007, NTV went online with its content on YouTube. Within the first month it received over 325,000 views, three honors, and an average of 4,000 views for every video uploaded. Kikuyu People
The Kikuyu (also ''Agĩkũyũ/Gĩkũyũ'') are a Bantu ethnic group native to Central Kenya. At a population of 8,148,668 as of 2019, they account for 17.13% of the total population of Kenya, making them Kenya's largest ethnic group. The term ''Kikuyu'' is derived from the Swahili form of the word Gĩkũyũ. is derived from the word mũkũyũ which means sycamore fig (''mũkũyũ'') tree". Hence ''Agĩkũyũ'' in the Kikuyu language translates to "Children Of The Big Sycamore". The alternative name ''Nyũmba ya Mũmbi'', which encompasses ''Embu'', ''Gikuyu'', and ''Meru'', translates to "House of the Potter" (or "Creator").
