Janet M. Mills
Janet Marsico Mills (c. 1921 – 1991) was an American politician who served as the Connecticut state representative for the 140th district from 1985 to 1986. A member of the Republican Party, she was a resident of Norwalk. Early life and family Mills was born and raised in Norwalk. She married David W. Mills when he returned from serving in World War II in 1945. Political career Mills was president of the Norwalk Republican Women's Association, and of the Norwalk Taxpayer's League. She was a member of the coalition for Children and Youth, Inc., and a member of the Education and Housing for Fairfield 2000 organization and the State Legislative Task Force on Interracial Adoption. She served as a commissioner of the Norwalk Housing Authority from 1983 to 1987, and as its vice-chairman. Connecticut
Connecticut () is the southernmost state in the New England region of the Northeastern United States. It is bordered by Rhode Island to the east, Massachusetts to the north, New York to the west, and Long Island Sound to the south. Its capital is Hartford and its most populous city is Bridgeport. Connecticut's 140th House district is one of 151 Connecticut House of Representatives districts. It is currently represented by Travis Simms. The district consists of the central part of the city of Norwalk. List of representatives Prior to redistricting in 1972, Otha Brown Jr. represented the 148th District and John Fabrizio represented the 147th. The redistricting formed the 140th from the old 148th, 147th and part of the 145th District. This forced a contest between the two incumbents. Douglas C. Mintz (born 1952) is a judge on the Stamford/ Norwalk District Superior Court in Connecticut. He is a former Democratic member of the Connecticut House of Representatives from Norwalk, Connecticut's 140th House district.
