Jane Kaberuka
Jane Alison Kaberuka (born 28 August 1956, Bunyoro) is a Ugandan writer of fiction and autobiography, and also a senior civil servant. Career Kaberuka's education prepared her for science teaching, but in 1987 the course of her life changed when she was seriously hurt in a car accident. After extensive treatment she was able to walk, despite initial fears of permanent paralysis, and she feels God played a part in her healing. This incident and the aftermath led to her autobiographical work ''Has God forgotten me?'' The book includes letters she recorded or typed with one finger for her children to read when they were older. Her next book was ''It's Natural Darling'', a book about womanhood. An author's note comments on the widespread absence of discussion of sex even amongst family members. Bunyoro
Bunyoro or Bunyoro-Kitara is a Bantu kingdom in Western Uganda. It was one of the most powerful kingdoms in Central and East Africa from the 13th century to the 19th century. It is ruled by the King (''Omukama'') of Bunyoro-Kitara. The current ruler is Solomon Iguru I, the 27th ''Omukama''. The people of Bunyoro are also known as Nyoro or Banyoro (singular: ''Munyoro''); ''Banyoro'' means "people of Bunyoro"). The language spoken is Nyoro, also known as Runyoro.
