Jan Van Deinsen
Jan van Deinsen (born 19 June 1953 in Tiel, Gelderland) is a retired association football, football midfielder and Striker (association football), forward from the Netherlands. Playing career Club The left-sided midfielder from Wamel made his professional debut for N.E.C. (football club), NEC on 12 September 1971 against SC Telstar and also played for Go Ahead Eagles, before joining Dutch giants Feyenoord for whom he would play 7 years. He won the 1979–80 KNVB Cup with the club, but he had to quit football in 1984 due to injuries of his achilles tendon. International He obtained one cap for the Netherlands national football team, Dutch national team, when the Netherlands lost to the Republic of Ireland national football team, Republic of Ireland on 10 September 1980 in Dublin. Tiel
Tiel () is a municipality and a town in the middle of the Netherlands. The town is enclosed by the Waal river and the Linge river to the South and the North, and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal to the East. Tiel comprises the population centres Kapel-Avezaath, Tiel and Wadenoijen. The city was founded in the 5th century CE. KNVB Cup
The KNVB Beker (; en, KNVB Cup), branded as the TOTO KNVB Beker for sponsorship reasons, is a competition in the Netherlands organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) since 1898. It was based on the format of the English FA Cup. Outside the Netherlands, it is often referred to as the Dutch Cup. The tournament consists of all teams from the top four tiers of Dutch league football (Eredivisie, Eerste Divisie, Tweede Divisie and Derde Divisie), as well as the 24 semi-finalists (or replacements) of the six KNVB District Cups. The finals of the tournament traditionally takes place in De Kuip, and has been held there every season since the 1989 final. Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Wim Rijsbergen
Wilhelmus "Wim" Gerardus Rijsbergen (; born 18 January 1952) is a Dutch football manager and former player who played as a defender. He was last the manager of Solomon Islands' national team. Playing career Rijsbergen was born in Leiden, South Holland. Playing for Feyenoord Rotterdam, he was part of the Netherlands national football team which finished second in both the 1974 and 1978 World Cups. He later played in the North American Soccer League, for the New York Cosmos. Rijsbergen began his professional career at PEC Zwolle, and ended it in 1986 at FC Utrecht. Managerial career In 1999, he was appointed manager of Universidad Católica. Clemens Westerhof (born 3 May 1940) is a Dutch football manager, who has worked in various football positions on the African continent since 1989. He is most noted for his success with the Nigerian national team. Wamel
Wamel is a village in the Netherlands, Dutch province of Gelderland. It is part of the West Maas en Waal municipality, about 3 km east of Tiel. Wamel was a separate municipality until 1984, when it merged with Appeltern and Dreumel. The new municipality was first called "Wamel", but changed to "West Maas en Waal" in 1985.
