Jan Hijzelendoorn
Jan Hijzelendoorn (20 March 1929 – 22 October 2008) was a Dutch track cyclist who was active between 1948 and 1959. He competed at the 1948 and 1952 Summer Olympics in sprint events with the best achievement of eights place in the 1 km time trial in 1952. Uithoorn () is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The UCI Track Cycling World Championships are the set of world championship events for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling. They are regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale. Before 1900, they were administered by the UCI's predecessor, the International Cycling Association (ICA). Current events include: time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint, team sprint, omnium and madison. Women's events are generally shorter than men's.
