Jamie James Malonzo Orme (born July 31, 1996) is a Filipino-American professional basketball player for the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Professional career NorthPort Batang Pier (2021–2022) Malonzo was selected second overall by the NorthPort Batang Pier during the PBA Season 46 draft. Barangay Ginebra San Miguel (2022–present) On September 20, 2022, Malonzo was traded to the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel for Prince Caperal, Arvin Tolentino, and a 2022 first-round pick. The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of twelve company-branded franchised teams. Founded in 1975, it is the first professional basketball league in Asia and is the second oldest continuously professional basketball league existing in the world after the National Basketball Association, NBA,Bartholomew, Rafe. UAAP Season 82
UAAP Season 82 was the 2019–20 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The season was hosted by the Ateneo de Manila University. The eight member universities of the UAAP competed in the league's sixteen sport disciplines to vie for the UAAP Overall Championship, general championship as 3x3 (basketball), 3x3 Basketball will now be included as a medal event in the Seniors level, with points counted towards the general championships. FIBA Eligibility Rules
As the governing body of basketball, FIBA is responsible for maintaining and implementing the rules that determine whether a basketball player is eligible to represent a particular country in officially recognized international competitions. Any player with legal nationality the country they seek to represent are generally eligible to play for that country's national team but FIBA provides specific provisions for players who have acquired their legal nationality, dual citizens, and players representing FIBA members which are dependencies of another country. Eligibility Eligibility rules imposed by FIBA on national team players applies to both men and women. A player who seeks to represent a country must hold legal nationality of that country.
