Jamie Craighead
Jamie Lynn Craighead Turner (born May 23, 1980) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head women's basketball coach at San Jose State. A basketball coach since 2002, Craighead was previously an assistant and head coach at Sacramento State. Craighead grew up in Elma, Washington and played college basketball at the University of Oregon, where she was part of the 2002 Women's National Invitation Tournament championship team as a senior. Her first coaching job was as an assistant coach at Seattle Pacific from 2002 to 2005; she helped Seattle Pacific finish as national runners-up in the 2005 NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament. Craighead was later assistant coach at Portland State from 2005 to 2007 and Sacramento State from 2007 to 2009. In 2009, Craighead got her first head coaching job at Sacramento State. The Cadet Field House is an indoor sports complex in the western United States, located at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado, near Colorado Springs. 1999 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament
The 1999 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament began on March 12, 1999, and concluded on March 28, 1999, when Purdue won its first national championship in any women's sport. The Final Four was held at the San Jose Arena in San Jose, California, on March 26–28, 1999. Purdue defeated Duke 62-45 in Carolyn Peck's final game as head coach for the Boilermakers. She had previously announced her intention of leaving Purdue after two seasons to coach the expansion WNBA Orlando Miracle. The two finalists had recent "off the court" history. Duke's coach, Gail Goestenkors, was a former assistant coach at Purdue under Lin Dunn until becoming the Blue Devils' head coach in 1992. The Big Sky Conference (BSC) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I with football competing in the Football Championship Subdivision. Charity Dawn Elliott (née Shira; born November 11, 1969) is an American basketball coach currently serving as the head women's basketball coach at Point Loma Nazarene University. She was the women's basketball team head coach at Loyola Marymount University from 2012 to 2021. NCAA Women's Division II Basketball Championship
The NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament (officially styled as "Championship" instead of "Tournament") is an annual tournament to determine the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II women's college basketball national champion. Basketball was one of 12 women's sports added to the NCAA championship program for the 1981–82 school year, as the NCAA and Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) sought for sole governance of women's collegiate athletics. The AIAW continued to conduct its established championships; however, after a year of dual women's championships at the national level, the AIAW disbanded. The 2020 Elite Eight was due to be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, AL before the NCAA called off the tournament due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Gordy Presnell
Gordy Presnell (born July 20, 1960) is the women's basketball coach for Boise State University since 2005. Before joining Boise State, Presnell coached boys basketball teams for Lapwai High School and Kendrick High School during the 1980s. After joining Seattle Pacific University as a graduate assistant in 1986, Presnell became their women's basketball coach in 1987. With Seattle Pacific, Presnell's team won three Pacific West Conference events and reached the final of the 2005 NCAA Division II women's basketball tournament. Beverly "Bev" Smith (born April 4, 1960) is a Canadian basketball player and coach. Smith played college basketball at the Oregon Ducks, where she was named a Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-American in 1981 and 1982.
