Jamie Callender (born January 9, 1965) is an American lawyer and college professor who has served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives since 2019. He represents the 57th district which includes the Lake County communities of Concord Township, Kirtland, Kirtland Hills, LeRoy Township, Madison, Madison Township, North Perry, Perry, Perry Township, Waite Hill, Willoughby Hills, as well as most of both Mentor and Painesville Township. He currently is Chairman of Public Utilities and Finance, as well as serving on Civil Justice, Joint Education Oversight Committee, Rules and Reference Ohio House Committees. After practicing law full-time as a partner at Buckley King LPA, he founded Callender Law Group and The Callender Group, education law and consulting firms based in Concord and Columbus, Ohio, and Nashville, Tennessee. Ron Young (politician)
Ron Young (born August 20, 1946) is a Commissioner for Lake County, Ohio and is a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives serving from 2011 to 2018 and again from 1997 to 2004. Career Young served in the United States Army for three years, and attended Kent State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Psychology. He taught before founding Technical Employment Services Inc. in 1981. He has been married since 1974 and has five daughters. The Ohio Fair School Funding Plan is bipartisan legislation introduced in the Ohio House of Representatives as House Bill 1 (“HB 1”) by Republican Rep. Jamie Callender and Democratic Rep. Bride Rose Sweeney. The bill creates a new school financing system for K-12 education in the State of Ohio, overhauling the state's school funding system that the Ohio Supreme Court found unconstitutional four times beginning with the original DeRolph decision in 1997. Tim Grendell
Timothy J. Grendell (born April 17, 1953) is a Republican politician who serves as judge on the Geauga County Court of Common Pleas. He was a member of the Ohio Senate from 2005 to 2011, and of the Ohio House of Representatives from 2000 until 2004. The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) was a U.S. Act of Congress that reauthorized the Elementary and Secondary Education Act; it included Title I provisions applying to disadvantaged students.
