GP Briek Schotte
The GP Briek Schotte is a criterium Road bicycle racing, road cycling race held annually around the village of Desselgem in West Flanders, Belgium. The race was first organized in 1941. In 1942 and 1947, two editions were organized, one in July and the other in September. The race is named in honor of Belgian cyclist Briek Schotte, the winner of the first three editions of the race. The Arnhem–Veenendaal Classic (known as Veenendaal–Veenendaal from 1985 until 2006 and The Dutch Food Valley Classic from 2007 until 2013) is a semi classic professional road cycling race in the Netherlands starting and finishing in the town of Veenendaal. Ronde van Overijssel ( en, Tour of Overijssel) is an elite men's road bicycle racing event held annually in Overijssel, Netherlands and sanctioned by the Royal Dutch Cycling Union. 2009 Scheldeprijs
The 2009 Scheldeprijs cycling race took place on 15 April 2009. It was the 97th running of the Scheldeprijs. A breakaway of Lorenzo Bernucci, Matthé Pronk, Pavel Brutt and Jeff Louder formed after 80 km, and stayed free of the peloton until 9 km to go. Bernucci, of , attacked again when the lead group was caught and was joined once more by Brutt, of . The two were caught again by the Quickstep-led peloton at 4 km to go. A bunch sprint ensued, won by Alessandro Petacchi. Robbie McEwen, Tom Boonen and Greg Van Avermaet crashed 200 m from the finish when their wheels touched.
