James Talbot was an Irish Jacobite who served James II in the Irish Army during the War of the Two Kings (1689–91) and was killed at the Battle of Aughrim. Birth and origins James was the eldest son of Sir Henry Talbot and his wife Margaret Talbot. His father owned land around Templeogue, County Dublin. His mother was the third daughter of Sir William Talbot, 1st Baronet of Carton, County Kildare, and his wife Alison Netterville. He was the brother of William Talbot, also a Jacobite commander. Due to the influence of his uncle Richard Talbot, 1st Earl of Tyrconnell, James II's viceroy in Ireland, James Talbot was given command of a regiment in the Irish Army with the rank of colonel, although some sources refer to him as a Brigadier. James Talbot (rapist)
James Talbot, SJ is a former American Jesuit priest, teacher, and coach who was convicted of raping multiple students over a period of several decades. Abuse In the 1970s, while serving as a hockey, soccer, and wrestling coach as well as a history teacher at Boston College High School (BC High), Talbot was accused of rape and other charges of sexual misconduct. In response, the Jesuits chose to move him to another high school, Cheverus High School. In 2005, at the age of 67, he was convicted of several counts of abuse during his tenure at Boston College High School, and served six years in prison for the crimes. In a civil suit, 13 victims who sued the Society of Jesus and the high school received a $5.2 million settlement. At the time of his release, proceedings to laicize Talbot were still incomplete. James Talbot (born 24 April 1997) is an Irish association football player who plays as a goalkeeper for the League of Ireland Premier Division club Bohemians. Youth Talbot started his football career with Home Farm in the North Dublin suburb of Whitehall. Home Farm had previously produced a number of Republic of Ireland internationals, including Johnny Giles, Ronnie Whelan, and Richard Dunne. At the age of 15, he was signed by English club Sunderland. James Talbot, 4th Baron Talbot of Malahide FRS (22 November 1805 – 14 April 1883), was an Anglo-Irish Liberal politician and amateur archaeologist. Background Talbot was the son of James Talbot, 3rd Baron Talbot of Malahide, and Anne Sarah Rodbard, daughter of Samuel Rodbard. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge. Political career In 1832 Talbot was elected to the House of Commons for Athlone, but did not contest the 1835 general election. He succeeded his father as fourth Baron Talbot of Malahide in 1850. This was an Irish peerage and did not entitle him to an automatic seat in the House of Lords. James Theodore Talbot (December 25, 1825 – April 22, 1862) was an American officer and explorer during the 19th century. Early life James Talbot was born on December 25, 1825, to Isham Talbot and Adelaide Thomason in Washington D.C. He spent some of his youth in Kentucky, attending prestigious boarding schools. James was twelve years old when his father died on the family plantation in Frankfort, Kentucky, and James and his mother Adelaide moved into the mansion in Washington D.C. that had been left to them by Isham. James Talbot is an Australian Paralympic rower. He was a member of the PR3 Mix 4+ at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. Personal Talbot was born 30 October 1992. At the age of 21, whilst on holiday in Vietnam he had a motorbike accident which left him with a permanently damaged wrist and hand. Talbot completed a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) in 2015 at the University of Sydney. In 2021, he works as a foreign exchange dealer with ANZ. James Robert Talbot (born 23 April 1960 in London) is an English jazz alto saxophonist. Talbot played with the London Schools Symphony Orchestra and then with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
