James Rodley
James Rodley (born 20 March 1985, in Auckland) is a rugby union player. Rugby career Rodley started playing rugby at the age of five for the East Coast Bays rugby club. The move to the Marist Rugby club in 2006 saw his rugby career take off. Rodley was selected as the second halfback/scrumhalf for the North Harbour NPC Air New Zealand Cup team in 2006, but it wasn't long before he was the starting halfback. The North Harbour Rugby Union NPC team won the Ranfurly Shield in 2006 for the first time in North Harbours history against Canterbury. Rodley was named Rookie of the year 2006. In early 2007, Rodley participated in a competition with all the Marist clubs from around New Zealand. The North Shore Marist team Rodley plays for won the competition, and rodley was named Marists most valuable player. The North Harbour Rugby Union (NHRU), commonly known as North Harbour or simply Harbour, is the governing body of rugby union that encompasses a wide geographical area north of Auckland that includes North Shore City, Rodney District, the Hibiscus Coast and part of Waitakere City. Ranfurly Shield
The Ranfurly Shield, colloquially known as the Log o' Wood, is a trophy in New Zealand's domestic rugby union competition. First played for in 1904, the Shield is based on a challenge system. The holding union must defend the shield in challenge matches, which are usually played at the shield holders home venue, and if the challenger is successful in their challenge they will become the new holder of the Shield. 2007 Churchill Cup
The 2007 Churchill Cup was held from May 18 to June 2, 2007. It was the fifth year of the Churchill Cup. Six rugby union teams took part: Canada, England Saxons, Ireland A, New Zealand Māori, Scotland A, and the USA. Format The teams were split into two pools of three teams each. The winners of the two pools moved on to compete in the overall final, while the two runners-up competed for the Plate, and the two bottom-placed teams contested the Bowl. All of the finals were played on 2 June 2007 at Twickenham. 2007 was the first occasion where the competition was played outside of North America. Brendan Derek Te Oranga Haami (born 4 December 1974) is a New Zealand former professional rugby union player. Born in Stratford, Taranaki, Haami was a diminutive half-back and is known by the nickname "Knackers". Haami, NZ Maori representative, played 93 matches for Taranaki, debuting in 1997. He appeared for New Zealand in the 1999–2000 World Sevens Series.
