James Peter Ongkili
James Peter Julitih Ongkili (13 March 1939–20 March 2006) was a Malaysian politician. He was the Minister of Justice from 1982 to 1986 and Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah from 1976 to 1981. He was also the Member of Sabah State Legislative Assembly for Tamparuli from 1976 to 1981 and Member of Parliament for Tuaran from 1978 to 1986. Family James was born on 13 March 1939 in Kampung Karanaan, Tambunan, Sabah. His widow, Datin Margaret Ganduong Ahing (born 1937), was a native of Tamparuli (from the village of Kiulu) and the couple had 6 children. His brother, Maximus Ongkili was a federal minister from 2004 to 2022 and has been the President of United Sabah Party since 2017. The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. United Sabah Party
The United Sabah Party ( ms, Parti Bersatu Sabah, abbreviated PBS) is a political party of Sabah. The PBS was founded by Joseph Pairin Kitingan in 1985 and it is Sabah's oldest local party. In August 2020, PBS confirmed that they would be using their own logo and flag until Sabah's local coalition is established under Registrar of Societies (RoS). Since 2020, the PBS acts as an allied partner, providing confidence and supply to the ruling federal Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. Keningau District
The Keningau District ( ms, Daerah Keningau) is an administrative district in the Malaysian state of Sabah, part of the Interior Division which includes the districts of Beaufort, Keningau, Kuala Penyu, Nabawan, Sipitang, Tambunan and Tenom. Etymology The name ''Keningau'' is derived from the locally-abundant Javanese cinnamon tree ('' Cinnamomum burmannii'') which is locally known as ''Koningau''. The Kinabatangan District ( ms, Daerah Kinabatangan) is an administrative district in the Malaysian state of Sabah, part of the Sandakan Division which includes the districts of Beluran, Kinabatangan, Sandakan, Telupid and Tongod. The capital of the district is in Kinabatangan Town. Etymology The name Kinabatangan was originally called "Cinabatangan" which means a long river by a Chinese settlement governor in the area named Ong Sum Ping who had arrived to the area in the 16th century. It is believed that the name of Kampung Mumiang, Sukau and Bilit located in the district also comes from the Chinese language. La Salle Secondary School, Kota Kinabalu ('' Malay: Sekolah Menengah La Salle Kota Kinabalu'') is a co-educational secondary school for boys and girls (mostly boys) and one of the oldest schools in Kota Kinabalu on the coast of Borneo in East Malaysia. It was established in 1953 by Rev. Fr. Bernard Davies, a Mill Hill Missionary. Despite being an all-boys mission school, the students consist of all races regardless of religion. The Dewan Rakyat (English: 'House of Representatives'; ) is the lower house of the bicameral Parliament, the federal legislature of Malaysia. The chamber and its powers are established by Article 44 of the Constitution of Malaysia. The Ketua Menteri Sabah or Chief Minister of Sabah is the head of government of the Malaysian state of Sabah. Since September 2020, the position has been held by Hajiji Noor from the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), Perikatan Nasional (PN) from the coalition of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) which had won the 2020 Sabah state election. Jeffrey Kitingan
Jeffrey Gapari Kitingan (born 22 October 1948) is Malaysian politician. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister II of Sabah from 2020 to 2023 and State Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries since 2020 (also served in the same position for a brief period in May 2018). Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Joseph Pairin Kitingan (born 17 August 1940) is a Malaysian politician who served as the 7th Chief Minister of Sabah from April 1985 to March 1994 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Keningau from August 1986 to May 2018.
