James Martin (Irish Politician)
James J. Martin (1905 – 3 October 1969) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. He was a member of Seanad Éireann from 1965 to 1969. He was elected to the 11th Seanad in 1965 by the Agricultural Panel. He was re-elected at the 1969 Seanad election but died in office in October 1969. The Irish ( ga, Muintir na hÉireann or ''Na hÉireannaigh'') are an ethnic group and nation native to the island of Ireland, who share a common history and culture. Fianna Fáil Senators
''Fianna'' ( , ; singular ''Fian''; gd, Fèinne ) were small warrior-hunter bands in Gaelic Ireland during the Iron Age and early Middle Ages. A ''fian'' was made up of freeborn young males, often aristocrats, "who had left fosterage but had not yet inherited the property needed to settle down as full landowning members of the ''túath''".
