James Joseph Hayes Doone
James Joseph Hayes Doone (August 8, 1888 – April 6, 1953) was a Canadian lawyer and political figure in the Province of New Brunswick. Frequently documented as J. J. Hayes Doone, he was born in the hamlet of Deadman's Harbour near Blacks Harbour on the Bay of Fundy shore in southwestern New Brunswick.Hiattestation papers state that he was born in nearby Pennfield. During World War I, he served overseas with the 104th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. In the 1935 New Brunswick general election, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick as the Liberal member for Charlotte County. On January 10, 1940, Premier Allison Dysart appointed Hayes Doone to his Cabinet as the Provincial Secretary-Treasurer (Minister of Finance). Joseph Gaspard Boucher
Joseph Gaspard Boucher (February 3, 1897 – April 18, 1955) was a journalist and political figure in New Brunswick, Canada. He represented Madawaska County in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1935 to 1952 and Restigouche—Madawaska in the House of Commons of Canada as a Liberal member from 1953 to 1955. Known as Gaspard, he was born in Notre-Dame-du-Portage, Quebec and studied at the agricultural college at Sainte-Anne-de-La-Pocatière and McDonald College (now the Macdonald Campus of McGill University) at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. He worked as an agronomist for some time before moving to Edmundston, New Brunswick in 1920 where he became manager of the Royal Hotel acquired by his father. Clovis-Thomas Richard (May 8, 1892 – August 22, 1976) was a Canadian lawyer and political figure in the Province of New Brunswick. He was born in South Framingham, Massachusetts and raised in College Bridge, New Brunswick. He was educated at University of St. Joseph's College, earning a BA degree before attending Dalhousie University where he graduated in 1918 with a Bachelor of Laws degree. Richard was a member of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I. After the war, he practiced law; then, in a 1926 by-election to replace Peter Veniot who had been elected to the House of Commons of Canada in Ottawa, Richard won election to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick as the Liberal party candidate for the riding of Gloucester County. He was reelected in 1930, 1935, 1939, and 1944. Richard served as the Provincial Secretary-Treasurer from July 16, 1935 to January 10, 1940.
