James Hearn
James Daniel Guy Hearn (born 19 June 1976 in Denham, Buckinghamshire, England) is an English singer-songwriter. He is best known as being the vocalist of boyband Ultra. Biography Hearn attended the same high school as Ultra's guitarist and drummer, Mike Harwood and Jon O'Mahony, respectively, where they met. He was in the same class as Harwood, and O'Mahony was a couple of years older. Hearn went on to the University of Leeds and studied Geography and Management, graduating in 1999. He was once a pentathlon athlete, but when he realized that sport was not the highest paid career choice, he turned to music. In 1997, Hearn, Harwood, O'Mahony, and Nick Keynes, formed Ultra and released their self-titled debut album in 1999, for which Hearn wrote most of the songs. Denham, Buckinghamshire
Denham is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Buckinghamshire, England, approximately from central London, northwest of Uxbridge and just north of junction 1 of the M40 motorway. The name is derived from the Old English for "homestead in a valley". It was listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as ''Deneham''. Denham contains the Buckinghamshire Golf Club. Buildings The Church of England parish church of Saint Mary has a flint and stone Norman tower and Tudor monuments. ''The Sun Shines Brighter'' is the second studio album from English band Ultra, released on 24 October 2006, seven years after their debut album ''Ultra''. The lineup consists of James Hearn, vocals and piano; Michael Harwood, vocals and guitar; Nick Keynes, bass; and Jon O'Mahony, drums and percussion. The majority of the songs were written by the four original members of the band who reunited in 2005 to write and record it. James Hearn wrote "Happiness". Former member Alistair Griffin wrote "Don't Let Go" and "In Your Smile", and also co-wrote "Feeling Alive". Griffin's vocals have been used on "In Your Smile" and "Feeling Alive", although these appear to have been recorded some time previously, before he re-recorded the versions which are included on his own 2004 solo album ''Bring It On''. Boyband
A boy band is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation. Generally, boy bands perform love songs marketed towards girls and young women. Many boy bands dance as well as sing, usually giving highly choreographed performances. South Korean boy bands usually also have designated rappers. Some such bands are formed on their own, often evolving out of church choral or gospel music groups. In contrast, others are created by talent managers or record producers who hold auditions. Being vocal groups, most boy band members do not play musical instruments, either in recording sessions or on-stage. They are similar in concept to their counterparts known as girl groups.
