James G. Morgan
James Grover Morgan (November 15, 1885 – 1964) was an American politician from Unionville, Missouri, who served in the Missouri Senate and the Missouri House of Representatives. He served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 1917 until 1922 where he had been majority floor leader in 1921. He was elected to the Missouri Senate in 1926. Morgan was educated in rural Iowa and at Kirksville State Teachers College Truman State University (TSU or Truman) is a public university in Kirksville, Missouri. Daviess County, Missouri
Daviess County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,430. Its county seat is Gallatin. The county was organized December 29, 1836, from Ray County and named for Major Joseph Hamilton Daveiss, a soldier from Kentucky who was killed in 1811 at the Battle of Tippecanoe. The county includes the town of Jamesport, which has the largest Amish community in Missouri. Truman State University (TSU or Truman) is a public university in Kirksville, Missouri. It had 4,225 enrolled students in the fall of 2021 pursuing degrees in 52 undergraduate and 11 graduate programs. The university is named for U.S. President Harry Truman, who was a Missouri native. From 1972 until 1996, the school was known as Northeast Missouri State University. The Missouri Senate is the upper chamber of the Missouri General Assembly. It has 34 members, representing districts with an average population of 174,000.
