James Baldwin (racing Driver)
James Baldwin (born 28 August 1997) is a British racing driver and sim racer. He raced in the 2020 British GT Championship and the 2020 Formula One eSports Series. Career Baldwin began his racing career in karting aged 8, and won three DMAX National Championships at Daytona Motorsport between 2013 and 2014. He switched to Formula Ford in 2015 and competed in four races. He ran competitively despite having little track time and facing mechanical issues, but was unable to raise the funds to continue racing. He shifted his focus to sim racing and soon found himself invited to professional events with prize money available, offering a chance to reboot his career. Race of Champions Baldwin won the 2019 eROC Invitational Event, gaining entry to the 2019 Race of Champions. There, he won the eROC World Final. British GT Championship
The British GT Championship is a sports car racing series based predominantly in the United Kingdom. The series was originally created by the British Racing Drivers' Club in 1993 and, for its first two seasons, was known as the National Sports GT Challenge. The series is currently run by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation, while Pirelli began its first season as the championship's official sole tyre supplier in 2016. Two classes currently compete in the championship: GT3 and GT4. A consolidation of GT regulations and significant manufacturer support saw British GT first introduce a GT3 class in 2005. The category later mirrored FIA Group GT3 and used near-identical regulations to the FIA GT3 European Championship from 2006 onwards. The McLaren 720S is a Supercar designed and manufactured by British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive. The FIA Motorsport Games is a multi-sport motorsport events of nations administered by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile. The first event took place in Italy in 2019 and was won by Russia. The 2020 edition was postponed to 2021, and then subsequently to 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) is an exclusive invitation-only members club for racecar drivers who are judged to have achieved success in the upper levels of motor sport for a number of seasons.
