2022 FIA Motorsport Games Esports Cup
The 2022 Fanatec FIA Motorsport Games Esports Cup was the second FIA Motorsport Games Digital Cup, to be held at Circuit Paul Ricard, France on 26 October to 30 October 2022. The race was contested with GT3-spec cars. The event is the part of the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games. Entry list Results General Qualifying Quarter-finals The competition consists of 3 Quarter-finals, the Top 10 of each Quarter-final proceed to the Semi-finals, while Places 11 to 19 get transferred to the "Last Chance" Qualifier stage. The Circuit Paul Ricard () is a French motorsport race track built in 1969 at Le Castellet, Var, near Marseille, with finance from pastis magnate Paul Ricard. Ricard wanted to experience the challenge of building a racetrack. The circuit has hosted the FIA Formula One French Grand Prix intermittently from to , and every year from to as well as from to . James Baldwin (racing Driver)
James Baldwin (born 28 August 1997) is a British racing driver and sim racer. He raced in the 2020 British GT Championship and the 2020 Formula One eSports Series. Career Baldwin began his racing career in karting aged 8, and won three DMAX National Championships at Daytona Motorsport between 2013 and 2014. He switched to Formula Ford in 2015 and competed in four races. He ran competitively despite having little track time and facing mechanical issues, but was unable to raise the funds to continue racing. He shifted his focus to sim racing and soon found himself invited to professional events with prize money available, offering a chance to reboot his career. Group GT3, known technically as Cup Grand Touring Cars and commonly referred to as simply GT3, is a set of regulations maintained by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) for grand tourer racing cars designed for use in various auto racing series throughout the world. The GT3 category was initially created in 2005 by the SRO Group as a third rung in the ladder of grand touring motorsport, below the Group GT1 and Group GT2 categories which were utilized in the SRO's FIA GT Championship, and launched its own series in 2006 called the FIA GT3 European Championship. 2022 FIA Motorsport Games
The 2022 FIA Motorsport Games was the second edition of the FIA Motorsport Games. The event took place on 26–30 October 2022 with Marseille as a host city, and the Circuit Paul Ricard, Le Castellet as the venue for all the track-based disciplines. Scheduled initially for 23–25 October 2020, and later for 29–31 October 2021, the event was postponed two years in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic. From this edition onwards, the FIA Motorsport Games will be held every two years, as opposed to an annual format.
