Jamal Charles (footballer)
Jamal Ray Charles (born 24 November 1995) is a Grenadian footballer who plays as a midfielder for C.D. Real Sociedad and the Grenada national football team. Early life Jamal Ray Charles is the son of Janice Charles and Raphael "Ray" Charles, a former footballer. As a child he attended the Belair Government School in St. Andrew's, which he represented at Primary School level competitions. At the age of 12 he entered the St. Andrew's Anglican Secondary School and was selected by coach Michael "Niko" Felix to represent the school. He played during his entire six years at that institution. Career Club In July 2019 Charles signed with Liga Nacional club Real España. In December 2020 he was loaned to fellow Liga side Real Sociedad. In May 2021 Charles returned to Grenada and joined local side Paradise. Gouyave
Gouyave is the capital and largest town in the parish of St John, Grenada. It is located on the west coast of the Grenada. History Originally called Charlotte Town after Queen Charlotte of Britain, it was renamed Gouyave by the French because of its guava trees. Culture One of the town's annual celebrations is Fisherman's Birthday. 2019–20 CONCACAF Nations League B
The 2019–20 CONCACAF Nations League B was the second division of the 2019–20 edition of the CONCACAF Nations League, the inaugural season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 41 member associations of CONCACAF. Format League B consisted of sixteen teams from qualifying which finished from 7th to 22nd. The league was split into four groups of four teams. The teams competed in a home-and-away, round-robin format over the course of the group phase, with matches played in the official FIFA match windows in September, October and November 2019. The four group winners were promoted to League A, while the four last-placed teams in each group were relegated to League C for the next edition of the tournament. The qualifying phase of the 2019–20 CONCACAF Nations League was a one-off tournament that took place from 6 September 2018 to 24 March 2019. The qualifying determined the seeding for the group phase of the inaugural tournament, as well as determining the remaining ten teams that qualified for the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Format Apart from the six teams which participated in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying hexagonal, the other 34 teams (Guatemala could not enter due to FIFA suspension after missing the deadline of 1 March 2018) entered qualifying. Sir Vivian Richards Stadium is a stadium in North Sound, Antigua, Antigua and Barbuda. It was built for use in the 2007 Cricket World Cup where it hosted Super 8 matches. The stadium usually caters for 10,000 people, but temporary seating doubled its capacity for the 2007 World Cup. The stadium is named after former West Indies cricket captain Viv Richards. 2017 Caribbean Cup Qualification
The 2017 Caribbean Cup qualification began in March 2016. The qualification competition determined which Caribbean national teams would play in the 2017 Caribbean Cup and the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Participants 25 teams from the 31 CFU members entered the qualification tournament. Sint Maarten participated for the first time since 1997. Draw Twenty five nations were involved in the draw, which took place on 16 January 2016, 21:00 AST ( UTC−4), at the Jolly Beach Resort & Spa resort in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda.
