Jam Underground
Jam Underground also known as JAMU, is an American rock band noted for its musical improvisation, extended jams, and merging of discrete music genres. Their music blends elements of a wide variety of genres, including rock, jazz, funk, hip hop, world, electronic, ambient, and classical. Each of their concerts is original in terms of improvised textures, modes, lyrics and multiple guest artists. Jam Underground is based around the core band member Chuck Hammer, guitar; and a wide rotating group of artists and improvisers. Jam Session
A jam session is a relatively informal musical event, process, or activity where musicians, typically instrumentalists, play improvised solos and vamp over tunes, drones, songs, and chord progressions. Jazz

Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. Chuck Hammer
Chuck Hammer is an American guitarist and soundtrack composer, known for textural guitar work with Lou Reed, David Bowie, and Guitarchitecture. As an artist, Hammer is best known for his Guitarchitecture recordings, though he is also widely regarded as a leading New York City based soundtrack composer, having scored approximately 300 documentary films. He is currently developing a series of improvisational textural guitar recordings.
