Jake Blankenship
Jacob "Jake" Blankenship (born March 15, 1994) is an American track and field athlete who competes in the pole vault. He holds a personal record of for the event, set in 2015. He placed third at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2015. Blankenship won medals at the World Youth Championships in Athletics in 2011 and NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics in 2014. He represents Tennessee Volunteers team collegiately and has had top three finishes both indoors and outdoors in NCAA competition, including winning the 2016 Outdoor Championships. Career From Blacklick, Ohio, he attended Gahanna Lincoln High School. While there he established a reputation in the pole vault, setting Ohio state records both indoors and outdoors. Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. Brad Walker (athlete)
Brad Walker (born June 21, 1981 in Aberdeen, South Dakota) is an American pole vaulter. He was the American recordholder and was the 2007 World Champion in the event. High school Walker attended University High School in Spokane Valley, Washington and competed in football, basketball, and track and field. In track, Walker was coached by Reg Hulbert and won All-Greater Spokane League honors following his senior season. Walker graduated from University High School in 1999 with a 3.89 GPA. Collegiate and professional career Walker attended the University of Washington, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Sam Kendricks
Sam Kendricks (born September 7, 1992) is an American pole vaulter. He is a three-time indoor and six-time outdoor national champion (2014–2019), the 2016 Olympics bronze medalist, and the 2017 World Champion. In 2019, Kendricks set the American pole vault record at 6.06 m, tying him with Steve Hooker for fourth all time. He later won the gold medal at the World Championships in Doha. , Kendricks is a first lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve. Prep Kendricks vaulted for Oxford High School in Oxford, Mississippi leading his team to the 2009 MHSAA 5A State Championship. He vaulted to set the state record. Shawnacy Barber
Shawnacy Campbell "Shawn" Barber (born 27 May 1994) is a Canadian track and field athlete specialising in the pole vault. He is the former world champion in pole vault having won the event with a height of 5.90 m at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in Beijing. Barber also became a Pan American Games champion in winning the 2015 edition of the Games with a height of 5.80 m. Barber won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow as well.
