Jair Benítez
Jair Benítez Sinisterra (born 11 January 1980) is a Colombian footballer. Career Professional Benítez has spent the majority of his career playing professionally in Colombia, having played 344 games and scoring 19 goals in Colombia's Fútbol Profesional Colombiano. He won a Fútbol Profesional Colombiano title with Independiente Medellín in 2002, and appeared in 17 regular season and Copa Libertadores games for Independiente Medellín in 2009, before signing with FC Dallas of Major League Soccer on 22 July. Since joining Dallas Benítez has been a key contributor, helping the club to reach the 2010 MLS Cup final. International Benítez is a full international with the Colombia national football team, and was part of the Colombian squads at the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup and the 2007 Copa América. 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the eighth edition of the Gold Cup, the football championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). It was contested in the United States in July 2005. The United States emerged victorious in the final against an upstart Panama team led by tournament MVP Luis Tejada. After regulation and 30 minutes of extra time ended scoreless, the USA won 3–1 on penalties. For this edition, the format was switched from four groups of three teams each to the three groups of four teams. As a result, there was one more group stage game for each team, and the likelihood of teams advancing on a coin toss was much less. The top two teams from each group and the two best third-place teams would advance to the quarterfinals. Envigado () is a town southeast of Medellín, Colombia in the department of Antioquia. It is located in the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley. It borders El Poblado, Medellín to the north, Sabaneta to the south, El Retiro and Caldas to the east, and Itagüí to the west.
