Jaguar Bingham
Jaguar Bingham (known mononymously as Jaguar) is a British disc jockey and radio presenter who presents on BBC Radio 1 and co-hosts the annual International Music Summit Ibiza. Early life Jaguar is half Ghanaian and half English, and grew up on the island of Alderney in the Channel Islands, before going to boarding school in Hampshire from the age of 10. Career Jaguar presented on student radio while at university in Leeds. At the age of 19, she started an internship at BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra. She also had work experience at Mixmag in 2015 and was their weekend editor for two years before hosting the Mixmag’s weekly office party The Lab LDN. At Radio 1, Jaguar works in the BBC Introducing team. In April 2020, she began presenting the Introducing Dance show on Sunday nights, which moved to Thursday nights as part of a wider timetable reshuffle in September 2021. BBC Radio 1
BBC Radio 1 is a British national radio station owned and operated by the BBC. It specialises in modern popular music and current chart hits throughout the day. The station provides alternative genres at night, including electronica, dance, hip hop and indie, while its sister station 1Xtra plays black contemporary music, including hip hop and R&B. Radio 1 also runs two online streams, Radio 1 Dance, dedicated to dance music, and Radio 1 Relax, dedicated to chill-out music; both are available to listen only on BBC Sounds. Pete Tong
Peter Michael Tong, (born 30 July 1960) is an English disc jockey who works for BBC Radio 1. He is the host of programmes such as ''Essential Mix'' and ''Essential Selection'' on the radio service, which can be heard through Internet radio streams, for his record label FFRR Records and for his own performances at nightclubs and music festivals. Tong has also worked as a record producer and is regarded as the "global ambassador for electronic music." The phrase "It's all gone Pete Tong", where the name is used as rhyming slang for "a bit wrong", was reputedly coined by Paul Oakenfold in late 1987 in an article about acid house called "Bermondsey Goes Balearic" for Terry Farley and Pete Heller's ''Boys Own'' fanzine. ''Mixmag'' is a British electronic dance and clubbing magazine published in London. Launched in 1983 as a print magazine, it has branched into dance events, including festivals and club nights.
