Jagrit Anand
Jagrit Anand (born 15 July 1989) is an Indian cricketer. He plays List A and Twenty20 cricket for Delhi. Due to his consistent performances in the games he was then selected in the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) U-17 team in 2004-2005 to play the Vijay Merchant trophy conducted by BCCI, he played for two consecutive years in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 season where DDCA won the All India Championship in 2005-2006 (Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma were part of the same team in both the seasons). Early career He played the All India IPSC School Tournaments for Modern School Barakhamba Road which has produced several national and international cricketers. Post his school he did his graduation from Hansraj College, Delhi University where he was selected for his excellence in Cricket. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). List A Cricket
List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. List A cricket includes One Day International (ODI) matches and various domestic competitions in which the number of overs in an innings per team ranges from forty to sixty, as well as some international matches involving nations who have not achieved official ODI status. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. Delhi Cricket Team
The Delhi cricket team is a first-class cricket team based in Delhi, run by the Delhi District Cricket Association, that plays in India's first class competition, the Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. They have won the Ranji Trophy seven times and have been runners-up eight. Their latest title in 2007-08 came after a long wait of 16 years. The Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) is the governing body of Cricket activities in the Delhi state of India and the Delhi cricket team. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the national governing body for cricket in India. Its headquarters are situated at Cricket centre, Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Ishant Sharma (; born 2 September 1988) is an Indian cricketer who has represented India in Tests, ODIs and T20Is. He is a 6 ft 4 in tall right-arm fast-medium bowler. John Buchanan (Australian Cricketer)
John Marshall Buchanan (born 5 April 1953) is the former World Cup winning coach of the Australia national cricket team and of Kolkata Knight Riders team in the Indian Premier League. John Buchanan is a King's Old Collegian (University of Queensland, Brisbane) and is also an old boy of The Southport School, located in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
