Jagarnath Mahto
Jagannath Mahto (1 January 1967 – 6 April 2023) popularly known as "Tiger Mahto" or "Tiger Jagarnath Da" was an Indian politician and cabinet minister from Jharkhand. He represented the Dumri (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Dumri Vidhan Sabha constituency as a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA. Dumri Assembly seat has been a stronghold of JMM with Jagarnath Mahto representing its seat since 2000. In the 2019 Assembly elections, he received 71,128 votes, defeating his closest opponent Yashoda Devi, who contested on a AJSU ticket. Mahto tested positive for COVID-19 in 2020. He was taken to Chennai for treatment where remained in a coma for a long time. He underwent a lung transplant, before returning to the state after long nine months of continuous treatment. Droupadi Murmu
Droupadi Murmu (, born 20 June 1958) is an Indian politician who has been serving as the 15th president of India since 25 July 2022. She is the first person belonging to the tribal community and also the second woman after Pratibha Patil to hold the office. She is also the youngest person to occupy the post and the first President born in Independent India. Prior to her presidency she served as the ninth governor of Jharkhand between 2015 and 2021, and held various portfolios in the cabinet of Government of Odisha between 2000 and 2004. Before entering politics, she worked as a clerk in the State Irrigation and Power Department from 1979 to 1983, and then as a teacher in Rairangpur until 1997. AJSU
All Jharkhand Students Union or AJSU PARTY is a state political party of Jharkhand state, India. AJSU PARTY was founded on June 22, 1986, modelled after All Assam Students Union. The founders of AJSU were disillusioned with the previous political parties of Jharkhand and wanted more militant agitations. AJSU organized general strikes and a campaign to boycott the Lok Sabha elections in 1989. By 1990 however, AJSU had taken a more pragmatic line and had candidates for the Bihar state assembly election on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha symbol. Today, AJSU contests elections under its own name.
