Jagajeet Shrestha
Jagajeet Shrestha ( ne, जगजीत श्रेष्ठ) is a Nepali footballer who last played for Preston Lions in State League 1 as a midfielder. He was called to Nepali internationals at the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and most recently for the 2019 Asian Cup Qualifiers in late 2017. Club career Jagajeet Shrestha was born in Bhaktapur, a sub district of Kathmandu in 1993. He soon developed a reputation for his skills and fiery style of play despite his short height. He started his career at Yeti Himalayan Sherpa Club scoring 25 goals. In 2011, VfB Stuttgart agreed to a 1-year deal to train Shrestha. In 2012, Shrestha moved on to Friends Club, and in 2013 transferred to the Three Star Club. In June 2014 Shrestha secured a 2-month trial with the Polish football club, Jagiellonia Białystok. 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification (AFC)
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) section of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification saw 43 teams competing for 4 or 5 berths in the final tournament in Brazil. As in recent tournaments the AFC had four direct qualifiers for the finals tournament in addition to a further possible place via the intercontinental play-offs against CONMEBOL's fifth-placed team, which was chosen through a random draw, rather than being decided by FIFA beforehand as in previous tournaments (e.g., 2010 against a team from OFC, 2006 against a team from CONCACAF). Timor-Leste National Football Team
The Timor-Leste national football team is the national team of East Timor () and is controlled by the Federação de Futebol de Timor-Leste. They joined FIFA on 12 September 2005. Timor-Leste's international debut was in the preliminary round of the 2004 AFC Asian Cup qualification in March 2003, when they lost 3–2 to Sri Lanka and 3–0 to Chinese Taipei. The 2013 South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly referred to as 2013 SAFF Championship, was the 10th SAFF Championship for men's national football teams organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The tournament took place from 31 August to 11 September 2013, and was hosted by Nepal for the second time, with the previous being in 1997. Host selection Nepal were selected as hosts in September 2012 during the 2012 SAFF Women's Championship in Sri Lanka. 2012 Nehru Cup
The 2012 Nehru Cup was the 15th edition of the Nehru Cup and 3rd Nehru Cup since it was revived in 2007. It was held from 22 August to 2 September. The tournament was hosted in New Delhi, India. A total of 5 teams participated in the tournament through being invited by the All India Football Federation. The final match happened between India and Cameroon and India won the match in penalty shoot out. India won the Nehru Cup after defeating the Cameroon 5–4 on penalties after the match ended 2–2 in extra-time. Format On 15 June 2012 the All India Football Federation announced the format for the 2012 Nehru Cup. The tournament was played in a round-robin style. The 2011 South Asian Football Federation Championship, sponsored by Karbonn Mobiles and officially named Karbonn SAFF Championship 2011, was the 9th tournament of the SAFF Championship, which held in New Delhi, India. Venue It was originally scheduled to take place in Orissa, India, but was switched to New Delhi by the executive committee of the All India Football Federation on 22 September. Jagiellonia Białystok () is a Polish football club based in Białystok that plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top level of Polish football.
