Al Jaffee
Allan Jaffee (born Abraham Jaffee; March 13, 1921) is an American cartoonist. He is notable for his work in the satirical magazine '' Mad'', including his trademark feature, the ''Mad'' Fold-in. Jaffee was a regular contributor to the magazine for 65 years and is its longest-running contributor. In a 2010 interview, Jaffee said, "Serious people my age are dead." With a career running from 1942 until 2020, Jaffee holds the Guinness World Record for having the longest-ever career as a comic artist. In the half-century between April 1964 and April 2013, only one issue of ''Mad'' was published without containing new material by Jaffee. In 2008, Jaffee was honored by the Reuben Awards as the Cartoonist of the Year. Elizabeth Jaffee
Elizabeth M. Jaffee is an American oncologist specializing in pancreatic cancer and immunotherapy. Education Jaffee completed her undergraduate degree at Brandeis University in 1981 and earned her MD from New York Medical College in 1985. Following medical school, she did her residency at Presbyterian-University Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After residency she received a position as a research fellow at the University of Pittsburgh. Career In 1989, Jaffee started at Johns Hopkins University as a Senior Clinical Oncology Fellow and then went on to become the Assistant Professor of Oncology in 1992. Jaffee works as a medical researcher and deputy director at Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Ellen Jaffee
Ellen C. Jaffee (born May 20, 1944) is an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 97th Assembly District in Rockland County. A native of Brooklyn, Jaffee earned her B.A. in Education from Brooklyn College and her M.S. in Special Education from Fordham University. She was previously a teacher at Pomona Middle School before becoming an elected official of the Rockland County Legislature in 1998. Jaffee was first elected to the State Assembly in 2006 for a two-year term (2007–2009). She ran uncontested in the 2008 general election and won the 2010 general election with 61 percent of the vote. Jaffee has lived in Suffern since 1978, where she and her late husband, Steve, raised two children, Marc and Allison. Irving Jaffee
Irving Warren Jaffee (September 15, 1906 in New York City – March 20, 1981 in San Diego, California) was an American speed skater who won two gold medals at the 1932 Winter Olympics, becoming the most successful athlete there along with his compatriot Jack Shea. Early life Jaffee, who was Jewish, was born to Jewish parents who had emigrated from Russia in 1896. He grew up in the Crotona Park section of The Bronx, where he played baseball with future Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg. He briefly attended DeWitt Clinton High School, but dropped out after failing to make the varsity baseball team. Career At age 14, Jaffee took up skating at the Gay Blades of Iceland rink (which later became the Roseland Ballroom). Rami Jaffee (born March 11, 1969) is an American musician. He is best known as the keyboardist for the rock band Foo Fighters, whom he initially joined in a touring and session capacity in 2005. Jaffee has contributed to six of the band's studio albums, and in 2017 formally joined the band as a full-time member.
