Jafarqoli Khan, also known as Jafarqoli Beg, was a Safavid official of Georgian origin who served as the governor (''beglarbeg'') of Astarabad in 1664 or 1666, during the reign of king Abbas II (1642-1666). Jafarqoli or Jafarqulu Khan Donboli ( fa, جعفرقلی خان دنبلی) was the last khan of the Khoy Khanate from 1798 to 1799 and penultimate Khan of Shaki from 1806 to 1814. Background He was born to either Sahbaz Khan Donboli as their second son in Khoy. He was from Donbolis, a Kurdish tribe. Ahmad Khan Donboli was murdered in 1786, Jafarqoli had to flee the scene. Life under Hosayn Qoli His nephew Hosayn Qoli Donboli soon regained his throne in 1786 thanks to help from Mohammad Qoli Khan Afshar of Urmia Khanate, meanwhile his father's murderers were put to death by Jafar Qoli. Hosayn Qoli had to pay annual tribute to Mohammad Qoli because of this. Soon later Askar Khan Afshar arrived in Khoy, asking for Hosayn Qoli's help to invade Urmia and rescue his brother Mirza Abolhasan. Jafargulu agha Javanshir ( az, Cəfərqulu ağa Məhəmmədhəsən ağa oğlu Sarıcalı-Cavanşir; 1782 or 1787–1866) was an Azerbaijani poet, figure and a major-general of the Russian Army. Early life Jafargulu was born either in 1782/3 or in 1787, in Shusha. He was the elder son of Mammadhasan agha Javanshir - heir of Ibrahimkhalil khan of Karabakh - by Khayrunnisa begüm of Ganja. After his father's death on , he inherited all properties (about 36 villages), as well as leadership of his maternal clan of Jabrayillu and received the recognition as heir. He cooperated with Russian Empire under the orders of his grandfather during the 1804–1813 Russo-Persian War, routing Kurdish tribesmen of Karadagh. Jafargulu Khan Nakhchivanski ( az, Cəfərqulu xan Naxçıvanski, russian: Джафаркули-хан Нахичеванский; 5 February 1859, Nakhchivan – 1929, Shusha) was a Russian Imperial officer and later an Azerbaijani statesman. He was the brother of General-Adjutant Huseyn Khan Nakhchivanski and father of Major General Jamshid Nakhchivanski. Early life and military career Jafargulu Khan was born into a princely family of Nakhchivanski, descending from the rulers of the Nakhchivan Khanate. His father was a Major General of the Russian Imperial army and his mother was the daughter of the khan of Maku. In 1867, young Jafargulu was signed up for the Page Corps. Upon graduating in 1877, he was promoted to cornet in Her Majesty's Uhlan Life Guard Regiment based in Peterhof. Jafargulu Bakikhanov () was an Azerbaijani noble and Russian general. Life He was said to be born in either 1796 or 1799 in some resources. But latest research revealed he was born on 6 February 1793 in Quba to Mirza Muhammad Khan II and Sofia khanum. He has received title naib of Mushkur in 1827 and Shabran districts in 1830s. He was also naib of Buduq. He entered military in 1820. Russo-Persian War of 1826–1828 was his first war experience followed by Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829.
