Jade Ecleo
Geraldine "Jade" Buray Ecleo-Villaroman (born October 5, 1970) is a Filipino people, Filipina politician and part-time actress/singer. Ecleo served as the first governor of the Philippine province of Dinagat Islands when it was established in 2006. She served as governor from July 1, 2007, until 2010 and was succeeded by her mother, Glenda Ecleo, Glenda B. Ecleo. Ecleo served as Vice-Governor to her mother from July 1, 2010, until 2013 and was defeated in the 2013 elections for the governor post by her mother, who was re-elected for a second term. In the 2016 general elections, she ran for a congressional seat to represent the legislative district of Dinagat Islands, lone district of Dinagat Islands but was defeated by the incumbent congresswoman, Kaka Bag-ao. Ecleo is the daughter of Ruben Ecleo, founder of the Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Association, and the sister of Gwendolyn Ecleo and controversial religious politician Ruben Ecleo Jr. References

Kaka Bag-ao
Arlene "Kaka" J. Bag-ao (born July 3, 1969) is a Filipino human rights lawyer and agrarian reform advocate who served as Governor of the Dinagat Islands from 2019 until her defeat in 2022. Bag-ao additionally served as the representative for the lone district of the Dinagat Islands from 2013 until 2019. She has been dubbed as the 'Dragon Slayer' after consecutively defeating two of the most prominent members of the influential Ecleo political dynasty of the Dinagat Islands. Ruben Ecleo Jr. was a Filipino politician and religious figure who was the leader of the Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Association. Background Ruben Jr. was born to an influential Ecleo political family in the Dinagat Islands. His father Ruben Sr. was a former mayor of San Jose while his mother Glenda was a former member of the House of Representatives. The Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Association, Inc. (PBMA) is a non-sectarian and non-profit charitable religious fraternal organization for men and women in the Philippines founded by Ruben Edera Ecleo Sr. (December 9, 1934 – December 20, 1987) in 1965 on the Philippine island of Dinagat, off the coast of Mindanao. Upon the senior Ecleo's death in 1987, he was succeeded by his son Ruben B. Ecleo Jr., who died in prison on May 13, 2021, after being convicted of killing his wife in 2002. Ruben Edera Ecleo Sr. (December 9, 1934 – December 20, 1987) was a Filipino cult leader who founded the Philippine Benevolent Missionaries Association in 1965, and the mayor of the municipality of Dinagat, Surigao del Norte from 1963 up to 1987.
