Jacques Rivard
Jacques Rivard is a Canadian environmentalist and former male deputy leader of the Green Party of Canada. In July 2010, he left the Green party and resigned as deputy leader after serving only seven months and defected to the Bloc Québécois. The Green Party of Canada (french: Parti vert du Canada) is a federal political party in Canada, founded in 1983 with a focus on green politics. Rivière-du-Loup
Rivière-du-Loup (; 2021 population 20,118) is a small city on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River in Quebec. The city is the seat for the Rivière-du-Loup Regional County Municipality and the judicial district of Kamouraska. Its one of the largest cities in Bas-Saint-Laurent. History The city was named after the nearby river, whose name means ''Wolf's River'' in French. This name may have come from a native tribe known as "Les Loups" ("The Wolves") or from the many seals, known in French as ''loup-marin'' (sea wolves), once found at the river's mouth. Elizabeth Evans May (born June 9, 1954) is a Canadian politician, environmentalist, author, activist, and lawyer who is serving as the leader of the Green Party of Canada since 2022, and previously served as the leader from 2006 to 2019. Adriane Carr
Adriane Carr (born 1952) is a Canadian academic, activist and politician with the Green Party in British Columbia and Canada. She is also a councillor on Vancouver City Council. She was a founding member and the Green Party of British Columbia's first spokesperson (leader) from 1983 to 1985. In 1993 the Party formally established the position of "Leader". In 2000, she became the party's leader again. In the 2005 provincial election, she received in excess of 25% of the vote in her home riding of Powell River-Sunshine Coast.
