Jacob Kremberg
Jacob Kremberg (sometimes Jakob Kremberg) was a sculptor, working in Scania, present-day Sweden, then Denmark, during the early 17th century. He was probably born in Schleswig-Holstein and arrived in Lund around 1595 to work on decorations in Lund Cathedral. He subsequently created many furnishings for churches in Scania, notably pulpits but also altarpieces and baptismal fonts. His works are characterised by an expressive Northern Renaissance style. Hästveda Church
Hästveda Church ( sv, Hästveda kyrka) is a medieval church in Hästveda, in the province of Skåne, Sweden. History The church was built at the end of the 12th century, but has undergone several changes throughout its history. A church porch, later demolished, was built during the 15th century and during that century the interior of the church was also remade, and the currently visible Gothic vaults constructed. Substantial changes were also made during the 19th century. The church tower partially collapsed and was rebuilt, albeit lower, to designs by Helgo Zettervall. At the same time, in 1865, the western addition to the church was built. During a restoration in 1939-1940, the medieval murals were discovered under layers of whitewash and uncovered. Eslöv Municipality
Eslöv Municipality (''Eslövs kommun'') is one of 290 municipalities of Sweden, situated in Skåne County in southern Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Eslöv. The present municipality was created in 1971, when the former ''City of Eslöv'' was amalgamated with a number of surrounding municipalities, most of them created by the earlier nationwide local government reform in 1952. Holmby Church
Holdenby House is a historic country house in Northamptonshire, traditionally pronounced, and sometimes spelt, Holmby. The house is situated in the parish of Holdenby, six miles (10 km) northwest of Northampton and close to Althorp. It is a Grade II* listed building. History The house was completed in 1583 by the Elizabethan Lord Chancellor, Sir Christopher Hatton, who refused to sleep a night in the mansion until Queen Elizabeth I had slept there. It was one of the largest prodigy houses of the Tudor period, rivalling in size both Audley End and Theobalds, and was reputed to occupy approximately 78,750 square feet (7,300 m²), although this probably included the two great courtyards around which it was built. Hammarlunda Church
Hammarlunda Church ( sv, Hammarlunda kyrka) is a medieval Lutheran church in the province of Scania, Sweden. It belongs to the Diocese of Lund. History and architecture The presently visible stone church was built at the end of the 12th century, but preceded by two stave churches on the same location. The remains of these were discovered during a renovation of the church in 1960. The oldest part of the presently visible church is the nave. The round tower was built slightly later than the rest of the church. Hammarlunda Church is one of only four churches in the province of Scania with such a round tower, the others being Bollerup, Blentarp and Hammarlöv. The shape of the tower indicates that it originally also served a defensive purpose. Under the base of the tower, the graves of a man in his fifties, a woman and a child were found during a renovation in 1965.
