Jacob Jones (born September 14, 2001) is a Canadian curler from Brantford, Ontario. He is a former Canadian junior champion. Curling career Youth Jones began curling at age 7 at the Brant Curling Club. In 2020, Jones' Mohawk College rink qualified for the CCAA/Curling Canada College Curling Championships, and his team U18 team also qualified for the Canadian U18 Curling Championships. This caused a conflict as they were being held at the same time, though the Mohawk team would not have been able to play due to a lack of players. Both events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario. At the end of the season, he was named the college's male athlete of the year. Jones played in the 2021 World Junior Qualification Event, which replaced the Canadian Junior Curling Championships that season, as they were cancelled due to the pandemic. Jacob Alexander Jones (born 5 September 2001) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Woking. Club career Jones began his career at Swansea City, before moving to Forest Green Rovers in July 2022. In October 2022, Jones joined National League South club Bath City on a one-month loan deal. On 2 February 2023, Jones joined National League North club King's Lynn Town on loan until the end of the season. Jones left Rovers at the end of the season. Following a brief trial with Dundee, Jones joined Scottish League One club Cove Rangers on a two-year deal in July 2023. Commodore Jacob Nicholas Jones (March 1768 – August 3, 1850) was an officer in the United States Navy during the Quasi-War with France, the First Barbary War, the Second Barbary War, and the War of 1812. Biography Jones' birthplace was on a farm about one mile northwest of the town of Smyrna, Delaware. His father was a farmer of exemplary moral and religious character and his mother was of a family greatly respected. She died when he was an infant. His father soon followed her to the grave and at four years of age he was an orphan. It is not clear how he became a doctor. Educated in medicine and practicing as a doctor, he was later appointed as Clerk of the Delaware Supreme Court. He was married to Anna Matilda Sykes, daughter of James Sykes the 15th Governor of Delaware; she died before he joined the United States Navy. Jacob Jones (born 15 February 1999) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a forward for the London Broncos in the Betfred Super League, on loan from the Leigh Leopards. He has previously played for the London Broncos in the Betfred Championship. He spent time on loan from the Broncos at the Coventry Bears in League 1, and later joined Coventry on a permanent basis. He has spent time on loan from Leigh playing for the Widnes Vikings and London in the Championship, as well as the Rochdale Hornets in League 1.
